Job Description: Senior Billing Supervisor/Executive Assistant
Northeast Clinical Associates provides a unique therapy opportunity for children, adolescents, and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The Key Connection approach utilizes creative community-based interventions to supplement a solid behavior analytic framework that includes PBS principles, trauma-informed care, and motivational interviewing practices.
Reporting directly to the COO, the candidate will provide a variety of supports including overseeing the submission of accurate electronic and hard copy claims, reviewing denials/filing appeals, and following up on the status of claims.
ABA/Behavioral Health experience is a plus. Billing Assistants who demonstrate strong knowledge and communication skills have significant opportunities to advance their careers within the organization.
Responsibilities Submit accurate electronic and hard copy billing claims (new, resubmits, adjustment and secondary claims) Ensure that all claims are submitted on a timely basis. Ensure that all claims are paid within 3 months of the date services were provided. Run reports of unpaid claims to review with COO of any problems interfering with the claim submissions. Follow up on any unpaid claims with payers both via web-based applications and telephone. Document claims issues and communications thoroughly within Practice Management Software (Central Reach) Maintain high standards of professional conduct at all times. Organization and filing of confidential documents. Comply with medical confidentiality policy (HIPPA) Participate in team meetings. Other office tasks as assigned. Other special projects as assigned.
Qualifications Educational Requirements: High School Diploma. Experience within the ABA/Behavioral Health Field and/or Medical Billing required. Experience with Central Reach software beneficial but not required.
Office Skills: Effective Communication Organizational and problem-solving skills. Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work in a fast-paced office. Strong ability to multi-task and problem solve. Good organization, communication, and attention to detail. Positive and friendly attitude. Patience Ability to work cooperatively as a team member and independently.
