Patrol areas of building, parking lots, and grounds to protect property against misuse, damage, fire, theft, vandalism and illegal entry. Monitors security systems including CCTV, access alarm, panic alarm, fire alarm and key alarms. Security Officer may be called upon at any time to be of assistance within these guidelines to those who work, visit, or reside on the premises. Follows Company Policy and Procedure, upholds security department rules, regulations and procedures and occupies a position of trust and confidentiality.
This is a flex schedule Security Officer position. Applicants must be available to work weekends/holidays. This position is an overnight position and scheduled hours are 12am-8:30am.
During off-hours may be required to perform basic janitorial duties and set thermostat controls to maintain specified temperatures. May be required to work overtime and, in addition, may be required to work shifts other than their regular shifts to facilitate coverage. Perform all other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Work requires considerable walking to complete tours inside buildings and on BMHC property. Knowledge of basic computer operations and word processing is required. Must be able to lift up to thirty (30) pounds and be able to stand for extended periods, up to eight (8) hours.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or general education degree GED required. Security Officer Experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience suggested. CPI, First Aid, CPR and AED Certification are helpful but not required.
