DAK Americas is a globally competitive supplier of Terephthalic acid (TPA) - Monomers, Polyethylene Terephthalate Resins (PET & Recycled PET ) and Polyester Staple Fibers (PSF) for the western hemisphere. The company is headquartered in Charlotte, NC with manufacturing facilities in the Carolinas. DAK Americas is a division of Alpek, the petrochemicals and synthetic fibers business group of Alfa, S.A.B. de C.V., one of Mexico's largest corporations. The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with senior management. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, payroll, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment and employment law compliance. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Develop and maintain talent management processes Collaborate with all business unit leaders to develop effective recruitment strategies and identify future staffing needs Administer new employee on-boarding and orientation Process biweekly payroll and perform routine payroll audits Manage the EKP system and ensure training compliance for all business units Conduct and process terminations and perform necessary functions for exit interviews Provide clerical and administrative support to Human Resources Compile and update employee records; maintain employee personnel records Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities Monitor employee morale and corporate culture Deal with employee requests regarding human resources issues, rules, and regulations Properly handle complaints and grievance procedures and assist in investigations Perform other related duties as required Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position Human Resources Qualification/Skills Demonstrated knowledge of the human resources field Understanding of state and federal employment regulations Awareness of OSHA regulations and compliance Understanding of personnel and compliance records management Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Attention to detail and excellent organization skills Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities Ability to maintain confidentiality Education and Experience Requirements Bachelors Degree in human resources, business administration, or related field 3 to 5 years of relevant human resources experience PHR or SPHR, preferred Advanced PC skills with proficiency in MS Office including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Preferred experience with ADP and SuccessFactors
