POSITION PURPOSE/MISSION:

The Sales Manager is to provide leadership over a sales team, and is in charge of developing weekly/monthly/annual and seasonal sales targets for the team examining growth opportunities, enabling sales improvements, and taking responsibility for the team's performance against targets. The team will be composed of between 10-15 sales reps.

Follow the lead of the organization's over- arching strategies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Develop plans and strategies for developing business and achieving the company's sales goals
  • Create a culture of success and ongoing business and goal achievement
  • Manage the sales team and resources to deliver profitable growth
  • Manage the use of budgets
  • Assist in the hire and development of sales reps and ensure there's on-going development for the Sales Reps
  • Help drive awareness of Stauer as an employer of choice and a sales force that top sales people want to join
  • Oversee sales compensation and incentive programs that motivate the sales team to achieve their sales targets
  • Help coordinate sales training programs that enable staff to achieve their potential and support company sales objectives
  • Contribute to customer expectations and to a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Help define sales processes that drive desired sales outcomes and identify improvements where and when required
  • Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting
  • Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and provide feedback to VP & GM
  • Work together with the other department managers and corporate staff driving strategic and tactical projects.
  • Help drive short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
EDUCATION:

  • College degree in Business or related field preferred. Significant related experience in lieu of a degree
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

  • 5+ plus years of leading a sales team >8 reps, preferably in an outbound call center environment
  • Successful experience monitoring and evaluating sales rep progress against stated expectations, in addition to aligning and changing behavior with performance expectations
  • Successful experience utilizing a CRM to manage team sales tasks, pipeline, and closing data
  • Successful experience hiring and onboarding sales representatives
  • Proven experience Analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness of sales, methods, and results
  • Demonstrated ability in all aspects of sales leadership
  • Proven experience managing a team's book of business at the tactical account level
  • Solid understanding of proper coaching protocols.
  • Experience using Maximizer and Brainshark platforms preferred
  • Experience in training sales reps a plus
  • Proven interviewing skills
LOCATION:

Burnsville, MN OR Richmond, VA (Ideal candidate must be within commutable distance of either office)
