Full Job Description

Chevron is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Petroleum Engineer to join our team in San Antonio, Texas. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to begin their career in the energy industry. The successful candidate will assist senior engineers in various aspects of petroleum engineering, including reservoir simulation, production optimization, and well testing.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist senior engineers in the design and implementation of oil and gas projects.
  • Conduct reservoir simulation studies to evaluate production performance.
  • Analyze production data to identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Develop and implement well testing programs.
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations.
  • Maintain accurate records of engineering data.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest industry technologies and trends.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related field.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong understanding of reservoir engineering principles.
  • Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., Eclipse, Petrel).
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure.
