About the Role & Team
The Disney Legal and Global Affairs department seeks a Senior Specialist, Legal Operations to support Disney LGA’s Transformation Program. In coordination with the Legal Operations Manager, the Senior Specialist will assess department needs, evaluate potential technology solutions, and assist in the implementation of new tools and technologies with the goals of optimizing department processes and achieving efficiency gains.

What You Will Do
Identify/Measure/Test/Implement Legal Tech Portfolio
- Organize and conduct pilot programs for legal technology tools, including those incorporating AI, and analyze the resulting feedback.
- Evaluate potential solutions to improve Disney LGA processes and provide recommendations.
- Develop and implement optimized processes for both the Legal Operations department and other LGA teams.
- Track industry and digital trends to share relevant findings, especially with regard to the use of AI in the practice of law.
- Demonstrate legal technology tools for potential user groups.
- Gather requirements from internal clients and develop business requirements documentation.
- Configure tools to meet legal team requirements.
- Work with the Legal Operations Manager to ensure all stakeholders are engaged and aligned as new technologies are implemented.
- Ensure new technologies are rolled out on time, on budget, and in accordance with requirements.
- Partner closely with IT, vendors, and consulting groups to configure new tools and develop integrations.
- Analyze and interpret data to produce reports on key metrics, including contract volumes and cycle times.
- Calculate projected and actual ROI figures, including time and cost savings, for new tools and processes.

Required Qualifications & Skills

About the Role & Team
The Disney Legal and Global Affairs department seeks a Senior Specialist, Legal Operations to support Disney LGA’s Transformation Program. In coordination with the Legal Operations Manager, the Senior Specialist will assess department needs, evaluate potential technology solutions, and assist in the implementation of new tools and technologies with the goals of optimizing department processes and achieving efficiency gains.
This position requires significant attention to detail, stellar interpersonal skills, as well as technical curiosity and acumen. The ability to multitask is critical, as is the ability to effectively interact with clients, business partners, and internal and external vendors. The Senior Specialist, Legal Operations is energized by continuous improvement, stays abreast of technological developments especially with regard to AI, and understands how to phase a project to achieve larger goals.
What You Will Do
Identify/Measure/Test/Implement Legal Tech Portfolio
- Organize and conduct pilot programs for legal technology tools, including those incorporating AI, and analyze the resulting feedback.
- Evaluate potential solutions to improve Disney LGA processes and provide recommendations.
- Develop and implement optimized processes for both the Legal Operations department and other LGA teams.
- Track industry and digital trends to share relevant findings, especially with regard to the use of AI in the practice of law.
- Demonstrate legal technology tools for potential user groups.
- Gather requirements from internal clients and develop business requirements documentation.
- Configure tools to meet legal team requirements.
- Work with the Legal Operations Manager to ensure all stakeholders are engaged and aligned as new technologies are implemented.
- Ensure new technologies are rolled out on time, on budget, and in accordance with requirements.
- Partner closely with IT, vendors, and consulting groups to configure new tools and develop integrations.
- Analyze and interpret data to produce reports on key metrics, including contract volumes and cycle times.
- Calculate projected and actual ROI figures, including time and cost savings, for new tools and processes.
Contribute to Other Management Operation Initiatives
- Contribute to or lead initiatives as they come up that relate to the objectives of the department
- Ensure smooth and thorough communications are flowing within the department
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 3+ years’ work experience in a legal and/or technology function
- Demonstrated experience with project and prioritization management.
- Experience evaluating and implementing technology solutions.
- Strong knowledge of AI concepts and uses, including crafting effective prompts, data extraction, document analysis, and training AI models.
- Regularly uses AI tools and stays up to date on AI-related developments.
- Adept at collaborating cross-functionally with stakeholders from varied areas of the organization.
- Experience building or configuring technology tools to meet business requirements.
- Ability to aggregate, visualize, and interpret data, e.g. ROI metrics, cycle times, contract volumes, and trends.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with stakeholders at all levels and areas of the organization.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment.
- Comfortable receiving constructive feedback and applying it to work practices.
- Proactive by nature and commitment to follow through.
