Responsible for providing security services to protect all employees, visitors, facilities, equipment, supplies and materials at assigned site(s). This position will coordinate staffing, training, scheduling and work direction of contracted security personnel, as well as respond to any emergencies or incidents onsite.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and supervise the delivery of quality service by security personnel including monitoring performance and taking corrective action where needed.
• Plan, organize, schedule and direct security operations, guards, resources and personnel in accordance with established policies, procedures and standards.
• Monitor adherence to operational processes and procedures; implement changes when necessary.
• Train new and existing personnel on standard operating procedures, ensuring they are fully trained before assuming responsibility for their designated area.
• Enforce company policies and take appropriate actions when policy violations occur.
• Develop strategies to address issues and minimize risk to the organization.
• Maintain proper documentation for all activities, shift logs, patrols, events, accidents, incidents, and investigations.
• Provide support for various programs/projects and special events as required.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal departments, external customers, law enforcement agencies, vendors and other stakeholders.
• Serve as first point of contact with local authorities and provide timely updates and information as requested.
• Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Ensure proper use of access control systems, CCTV, alarms and other related equipment.
• Perform additional assignments not directly related to the above duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of industry specific experience in a similar role.
• Experience managing large teams of employees (10+)
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate others.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical Requirements:
• Frequent walking, standing, bending, lifting up to 25 pounds and driving.

As the Director of Technology for Network Security, you are responsible for the overall technical health, long-term strategy, team, financials and maturity of the capabilities needed to secure Target’s networks. This includes network segmentation and firewalls, web proxy, internet gateways, intrusion prevention, denial of service coordination, web application firewall, SSL/TLS inspection and other capabilities. As cyber threats grow in sophistication and scale, this role is pivotal to ensuring the resilience and trustworthiness of the platforms that power Target’s operations, guest experiences, and partner integrations.
You will foster close relationships with the network engineering teams as well as teams across Target’s cybersecurity, infrastructure, architecture and engineering teams. Ensuring that technology is healthy, scalable and robust by influencing the technology direction and introducing techniques is critical. Deep understanding of network security practices and vision for technology solutions is required. Owning root cause analysis and forward planning of platform issues and keeping up with technology trends and advances in your area is important. You’ll build strong internal and external partnerships and serve as an extension of your team for strategic direction and overall business decisions and taking responsibility for managing key technology vendors and external partners. A good understanding of Data Science and ML ops is a plus.
Use your skills, experience and talents to lead Network Security into the next generation of capabilities. As a Director of Technology, you will:
- Assess and design the future architecture of Network Security considering business impact and modern network design concepts like zero-trust.
- Use and continue to deepen your knowledge of networking engineering.
- Ensure operational maturity, system stability and observability.
- Balance cost and functionality in the future capability vision.
- Drive the maturity of network threat detection capabilities, enabling visibility into east-west traffic, cloud infrastructure, and hybrid environments.
- Define KPIs and metrics to continually improve time to detect and respond (MTTD/MTTR) to network-based threats.
- Continuously evaluate new threats, attack vectors, and emerging technologies to inform roadmap planning and proactive risk reduction.
- Drive integration between network telemetry and Target’s security operations center (SOC) to enhance visibility and threat hunting.
- Champion automation and orchestration in the network security space to reduce manual effort and increase response times.
About you:
- 4 year degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of network or cybersecurity experience
- 1-3 years of managing teams with a strong track record of delivery for cross-functional products
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to variety of audiences
- Team-orientated, passionate about developing others’ skills and capabilities
- Successful track record of working in large enterprise technology ecosystems leading complex technology teams
- Deep understanding of agile development processes and methodology including continuous integration and delivery, with a mindset of building incrementally and delivering business value quickly
- Strong collaboration skills, effective management of complex cross-team initiatives and leads with the desire to enable our engineering teams.

General Purpose
Support physical security operations to protect company personnel, assets, and interests. Lead investigations and coordinate responses to security threats and incidents; Oversee security projects and initiatives; and maintain security programs, including regulatory compliance. Responsibilities
• Develops and manages security plans, policies, and procedures.
• Represents the company during regulatory inspections, security briefings, and security meetings with government agencies.
• Evaluates proposed legislation and regulation for company impact and recommends appropriate responses.
• Conducts regular security assessments, including vulnerability assessments for company facilities, processes, and projects, and develops and implements mitigation and remediation strategies.

Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice or related field; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A minimum of five or more years of experience with physical security & monitoring systems.
• Communication and interpersonal skills involving the ability to establish trust, maintain confidence, and understand social behavior and interactions.
• Strong oral and written communication, with experience giving presentations and writing comprehensive documentation.
• Ability to work with all organizational levels to influence actions and negotiate outcomes.
• Proficient with the use of personal computers to gather, analyze, and summarize data.
