Raytheon’s Airborne Effector Production (AEP) Department is responsible for the delivery of affordable and innovative electrical products. Accountable for program execution including cost, schedule and technical oversight throughout the product lifecycle. Providing resources to drive development and sustainment activities of airborne electrical products. Our multi-disciplined teams manage a variety of engineering projects while maintaining a work life balance.
What You Will Do
- Collaborate and coordinate with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and other Engineering disciplines to resolve issues that may arise during production, testing, and integration.
- Qualified candidates must have experience with digital, analog and/or RF testing and experience debugging complex circuit card assemblies or electro-mechanical systems. Knowledge of RF / microwave devices preferred.
- Travel Requirements: less than 10% annually
- Shift Information: 1st shift
What You Will Learn
- One will gain knowledge of various electrical components, Circuit Card Assemblies, RF, analog, digital and / or mixed signal circuit design or analysis
- One will achieve a RTX Core Certification and a Raytheon Responsible Engineer Authority (REA) Certification
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior Engineering experience.
- This position requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional work experience with any of the following: RF, analog, digital, and / or mixed signal circuit design or analysis and / or digital signal processing.
- Experience in Root-Cause Corrective Action investigation
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience performing electrical engineering design of CCA, EO, RF, Seeker/Sensor, or electronic subsystem; including circuit design, CCA assembly, electrical test and production/supplier/sub-tier supplier support of test equipment, test automation scripting, test conduction, sensor control, printed circuit board fabrication, circuit card assembly processes and related industry specifications.
- Experience with any of the following tools: Mentor Graphics Designer, PSPICE, System Vision, MATLAB, Mathcad, IDL, Computer Simulation Technologies (CST), Microwave Design Studio, High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS), Advanced Design System (ADS), Signal Generator, Oscilloscope, and Spectrum Analyzer.
- Familiarity with missile communication transceivers and data links, inertial measurement units (IMU) and Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver subsystems.
- Experience with subsystems integration and test, post test flight analysis, problem investigation, Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods in achieving production yield improvements, technical writing, formal presentation, and implementing Engineering Change Notices.
- Leadership of small technical teams, including technical oversight and direction, cost estimation, tracking & reporting, coordination, preparation of detailed technical team reports, and proposal support.

What you will do:
In this role you will select power conversion equipment (rectifiers, inverters, filters, etc.) and tune control loops (current, velocity, position, etc.) for integrated electromechanical solutions. The applications range from cooling subsystems (fans, pumps, flow control valves, etc.) to actuators for motion control of radar elements. You will also be responsible for creating and validating simulation models to evaluate system performance and troubleshoot real-system problems.
You will also be responsible for supporting and driving the execution of product development projects. You will be working with a Team/Technical Lead and under the guidance of an Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead. Work is performed in a multidisciplinary team environment focused on execution and engineering excellence, using established business, and engineering tools and processes. You will interact with internal and external customers and leadership team members.
Qualifications you must have:
- B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major.
- 5+ years of experience in power conversion and/or control system design
