General Purpose

Manages the development and implementation of complex construction and maintenance projects/assignments with a considerable corporate and/or business unit impact. Responsibilities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Engineering; or the equivalent combination of education.
• Five years related professional experience in construction or maintenance project management.
• Previous experience leading complex project teams or in a leadership role.
• Analytical and evaluation skills to define critical tasks, establish sequence of events, identify individuals/teams, timelines and outcomes and to produce project plans.
• Project management skills to develop and monitor work agreements and budgets, determine specifications, schedules, timelines, and define deliverables.

• Advanced communication and interpersonal skills to interface with team members and customers to promote positive customer outcomes.

• Interpersonal and communication skills to facilitate team efforts, provide guidance and direction to team members.
• Financial modeling to quantify costs and benefits of projects and to track and maintain project budgets.

William Charles Construction, a MasTec Company, is in search of a Project Manager to support our Clean Energy & Infrastructure High Voltage Group.  The Project Manager will be responsible for managing substation & transmission line electrical construction projects within the clean energy (wind & solar) markets from pre-construction to completion, while ensuring the project remains on schedule and within budget.

• Establish site specific safety requirements in partnership with the safety team to ensure programs and policies are established and executed.

The Opportunity

The newly announced Corporate Function Program Management Office (CFPMO) is seeking an experienced project manager to support the stand-up of the new organization supporting Corporate Finance, Enterprise Risk, and Investment Management initiatives. In this role, you will report directly to the Investment Management Portfolio Lead and be accountable for the planning, day-to-day execution, management, implementation and reporting of projects while using the defined project management (PM) processes and standards. The CFPMO PM process is designed to support the CFPMO’s mission to increase the value impact of change efforts across MassMutual’s corporate functions. • Develop and maintain required Detailed Planning artifacts and manage plan execution
• Determine project scope and manage scope execution across multiple large projects or medium to large programs where scope is subject to change, contains high complexity and high degree of risk, large number of resources, and complex organizational change issues that support complex enterprise or strategic corporate goals
• Develop financial forecasts, record cost variance, anticipate and address delivery challenges, and request budget changes if needed following associated Change Request Process
• Develop high-level milestones during Discovery  and develop detailed project schedules during Detailed Planning
• Works with a high degree of autonomy to apply industry leading project and program management knowledge to refine the resource plan, develop a RACI Matrix, conduct a Key-Person Risk Assessment, and Third-Party Support Needs Assessment

The Minimum Qualifications

• Partner with Project Sponsors and Functional Managers to compile Discovery artifacts such as a Cost Benefit Analysis (CBA), Project Charter, high level Resource Plan, and high-level Milestone Plan to be reviewed to receive Discovery Funding
• Develop and maintain required Detailed Planning artifacts and manage plan execution
• Determine project scope and manage scope execution across multiple large projects or medium to large programs where scope is subject to change, contains high complexity and high degree of risk, large number of resources, and complex organizational change issues that support complex enterprise or strategic corporate goals
• Develop financial forecasts, record cost variance, anticipate and address delivery challenges, and request budget changes if needed following associated Change Request Process
• Develop high-level milestones during Discovery  and develop detailed project schedules during Detailed Planning
• Works with a high degree of autonomy to apply industry leading project and program management knowledge to refine the resource plan, develop a RACI Matrix, conduct a Key-Person Risk Assessment, and Third-Party Support Needs Assessment  
• Ensure early identification, resolution, and escalation of project risks through maintenance of Risk and Issue Log and project Pre-Mortem activity
• Drives continuous improvement and efficiencies beyond own scope of responsibility

The Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree  or equivalent experience and expertise
• 8+ years of project management experience
• Proven success in delivering complex long-term projects on time, within budget, and to scope
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in project management software including but not limited to MS Project, Smartsheet, and Jira

The Opportunity

The newly announced Corporate Function Program Management Office (CFPMO) is seeking an experienced project manager to support the stand-up of the new organization supporting Corporate Finance, Enterprise Risk, and Investment Management initiatives. We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented USRB Senior Project Portfolio Manager for the US Refreshment Beverages (USRB) Business Unit . This highly visible role is responsible for the planning and oversight of the USRB BU’s entire CapEx project portfolio , including the execution and optimization of the long-range planning process, annual planning process, and in-year execution governance .   

As part of the US RB Supply Chain Engineering team , you will work with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain the USRB long-range and annual CapEx plans . You will be responsible for actively managing and collaborati ng with leadership that the USRB capital program projects are directly driving USRB to our aspirational 85 % OEE 2 .  The USRB Technology Roadmap management will also be part of the long-term job responsibilities .  Y ou will drive CapEx process and executive reporting optimization with the strategic programs and capital planning teams. You will work with the Engineering Project Management team and Site Champions to ensure that the BU’s projects are properly resourced and that they deliver on scope, schedule, and budget commitments.  

The ideal candidate will have an Engineering, Business , Project Management, or related degree .  This individual will also have project and portfolio management experience. Food and Beverage , CPG (Consumer Package Goods) and plant floor experience is a plus.

Key Responsibilities  

• Execute and improve USRB long-range and annual planning/prioritization process es  

• Work with the Engineering Project Management Office to resource planned projects
