About the position:
Senior Relationship Manager for the leading Metals, Mining and Fertilizer (“MMF”) financier in the world. Located in ING’s New York office, this role will ultimately report up to the Head of ING MMF Americas in New York.
The Metals, Mining & Fertilizers team is part of a dynamic global team with offices in New York, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, and Singapore. We are a leader in covering companies and funds active across the metals & mining sector and battery metals value chain, often taking the lead in a variety of transactions including project finance, acquisition finance and structured corporate financings, as well as involved in financial markets (strategic and flow hedging of commodity prices, FX, and interest rates), transaction services, as well as DCM/ECM and (debt) advisory. As a leading player in this space, we actively work with our clients to provide tailored solutions.
Looking for your next opportunity for development? The Director role offers a mix between the financial, technical, legal, and commercial aspects of managing client relationships. You will work with other team members in the analysis, financial modeling, negotiation, sourcing, and managing of client relationships and complex financings across the sector in the Americas.
About the department:
- Lead the origination for MMF corporate, project financings and advisory mandates with existing and new clients active in the Americas;
- Client coverage in collaboration with other ING product teams (e.g. Financial Markets, DCM, Capital Markets & Advisory, Corporate Finance) to maximize client cross-buy opportunities and total client return, including prepare pitches and support strategy discussions with existing and new MMF clients to position ING for lead mandates;
- Involvement in all stages of the financing process, with a primary focus on client relationship management, origination, structuring and advising functions;
- Be the deal captain in the deal team with ultimate responsibility over deal execution (in collaboration with the Transaction Management team) and obtaining credit and management approvals. The deal captain will present greenlight memos in commercial committees, perform due diligence, oversee credit applications and ancillary documents, review and/or negotiate financing documents and material project agreements with the client, and lead discussions with Credit Risk and senior management;
- Assist in the hand-off of transactions to the Portfolio Management team and coordinate with them on material amendments, waivers and consents on transactions and provide input and support where and as needed;
- Contribute to credit, industry & market analysis and be a senior ING representative during industry events.
- You support the Global Metals and Mining platform and contribute to the development of junior team members
Responsibilities :
Experience / Knowledge:- 8-12 years of investment / corporate banking experience preferably in the structured and project finance / commodities sector, and ideally with working experience in Americas; or relevant experience in the mining industry itself
- You have experience in structures ranging from prepayments to PXF, structured corporate debt, acquisition finance all the way to traditional project finance
- You possess strong (financial) analysis capability, with a keen interest in the sector and commercial acumen
- Proven relationship management as well as deal execution skills as a lead banker.
- You have strong leadership, strategic, interpersonal, and communication skills
- You possess the ability to deliver with efficiency and effectiveness with minimal day-to-day oversight
- You demonstrate determination and dedication towards achieving results
- You are willing to go above and beyond for the sake of the team and clients
- You have a consistent history of performing at the highest ends of review and appraisal metrics
- You are an excellent team player and can coach / mentor junior team members
Salary Range $250,000-$300,000

As a Managing Consultant on the Americas Metals & Mining Consulting team, you will play a key role in our growing consulting practice, with involvement in all aspects of the consulting process, from shaping the opportunity, performing required analysis and executing key parts of the scope of work, managing smaller projects or key workstreams, and working closely with clients and Wood Mackenzie experts to develop insights to support critical strategic and commercial decisions.
Your primary role will be managing key parts or select commercial and strategy consultancy projects across the Metals & Mining sector in Americas markets, while having a central role in the delivery of the work products. This role requires a high level of creative thinking, analytical and problem-solving abilities with the ability to apply detailed knowledge and experience in metals and mining markets to a broad range of consulting projects and client situations. These capabilities must be accompanied by a strong command of oral and written communication skills in both internal as well as external and client-facing environments.
Additionally, team and project management capabilities, in a consulting context, are required for the purpose of this role.
The role requires frequent engagement with and work alongside senior client teams and occasional travel throughout the Americas region.
Main Responsibilities
As a Managing Consultant at Wood Mackenzie, you will take ownership for the execution and delivery of important parts of the assignment as well as project managing and coordinating the overall effort under the supervision of a Project Director. Your main responsibilities will be:
- Act as Project Manager, coordinating and managing consulting projects by setting up a detailed project plan and working with a team to execute toward milestones
- Lead and execute complex analysis of commodity markets and project economics, while leveraging our industry research and expertise
- Build and present compelling presentations conveying key messages and recommendations concisely for a senior audience
- Train and coach junior team members on day-to-day consulting tasks and ensuring successful project delivery
- Bring a thorough and current understanding of renewable energy and power markets, within the context of the energy transition, and be able to effectively discuss recent events and implications with clients and colleagues
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline such as business, economics, finance, statistics, or engineering; top tier master's and/or MBA preferred
- 5+ years of relevant experience in a management consulting or M&M-focused consulting role, or other strategic/commercial role relating to natural resources or energy markets. Other industry experience is beneficial but not required.
- Experience building and maintaining relationships with clients
- Experience managing key project workflows and overall coordination of projects or major work streams in a Project Manager role
- Strong understanding of metals and mining value chains (exploration, development, production, transportation, processing and downstream operations such as smelting or refining and commercialization), including the implications of the energy transition
- Strong understanding of commercial operations, business models and strategies
- Track record of quickly becoming knowledgeable and speaking credibly about a wide range of subjects and themes

Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled Sales Engineer with a strong background in sales and a passion for technical solutions. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of sales experience and a proven track record of success in the mining and industrial sectors. Specific experience with pump sales and/or bulk material handling weighing solutions is a plus.
The Sales Engineer will be responsible for identifying new sales opportunities, building relationships with customers, and delivering technical solutions that meet their needs.

Overview: The Track Hoe & Loader Operator plays a critical role in our rock crushing and mining operations, responsible for the safe and efficient excavation, loading, and material handling of aggregates, overburden, and other materials. This position requires proficiency in operating both track hoe excavators and wheel loaders, ensuring optimal feed to the crushing plant, maintaining stockpiles, and supporting overall site operations in compliance with all safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Track Hoe (Excavator) Operations:
- Crusher Feeding: Precisely excavate and load various sizes of raw rock material into the primary crusher hopper, ensuring a consistent and optimal feed rate to maximize plant throughput and prevent blockages.
- Material Excavation: Dig, excavate, and move earthen materials, rock, and overburden from designated areas, adhering to site plans and grade specifications.
- High Wall Management: Assist in maintaining safe and stable high walls in excavation pits, following engineered designs and MSHA guidelines.
- Demolition/Breaker Work: Operate hydraulic hammer attachments as required for breaking oversized rock or concrete.
Wheel Loader Operations:
- Material Loading: Efficiently load various types and sizes of crushed aggregate products onto haul trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and maximizing load capacity.
- Stockpile Management: Build, maintain, and reclaim organized and stable stockpiles of raw materials, processed aggregates, and other site materials.
- Crusher Feed Assistance: Supplement track hoe feeding or provide primary feed to crushers as needed, ensuring continuous plant operation.
- Material Transportation: Transport materials across the site, including aggregates, dirt, and other bulk items.
Shared / General Operator Duties:
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, MSHA regulations, and site-specific safety plans. Actively participate in safety meetings and hazard recognition.
- Pre-Operational Checks: Conduct thorough daily pre-operational inspections of assigned equipment (track hoe and loader), including fluid levels, lights, tires/tracks, hydraulics, and safety devices (e.g., backup alarms, fire extinguishers). Document findings and report any defects immediately.
- Routine Maintenance: Perform basic preventive maintenance tasks such as greasing, cleaning, and minor adjustments.
- Site Organization & Cleanliness: Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized work area, including around the crushing plant and stockpiles.
- Communication: Maintain effective radio communication with supervisors, ground personnel, truck drivers, and other operators to coordinate movements and ensure a safe and efficient workflow.
- Quality Control Support: Assist in monitoring material quality and escalate any discrepancies or issues.
- Environmental Stewardship: Implement practices that minimize environmental impact, including dust control (e.g., operating water truck, as needed) and proper waste disposal.
- Problem Solving: Identify and report equipment malfunctions, operational bottlenecks, or safety concerns in a timely manner.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience (typically 2+ years) operating heavy equipment, with demonstrated proficiency in both hydraulic excavators (track hoes) and wheel loaders in a mining, quarry, or heavy construction environment.
- Strong understanding of rock crushing plant operations and the flow of materials.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination, spatial awareness, and depth perception.
- Ability to read and interpret site plans, grade stakes, and production schedules.
- Strong commitment to safety and a thorough understanding of MSHA regulations.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly.
- Physical ability to perform demanding tasks, including sitting for long periods, climbing on/off equipment, and working in various weather conditions (dust, heat, cold).
- Valid driver's license required.
- MSHA certification preferred or ability to obtain upon hire.
