Description of Duties: Responsible for verifying printed and/or finished product in accordance with customer requirements, Quad/Graphics specifications, general Mail specifications and job instruction as required.
Essential Functions of Position: The Quality Service Representative is responsible for supporting quality practices in the printing and finishing product. Other duties include processing and shipment of Customer samples as required, following written procedures and completing Data entry and paperwork as required. QSR also relay Quality concerns with Press/Finishing Operator, Supervisors, Management and Customer Service Representative as warrant . QSR also maintaining Quality Control records in support of both Press and Finishing production.
- Processing Customer samples includes:
1. Assisting Manufacturing during the production of samples as requested or required.
a. Being at Press while the Customer samples are be produced, looking for obvious format, functionality, print and finishing quality issues or concerns.
2. Spot checking of samples to ensure timely awareness of questionable product concerns.
a. More in depth checking of position and workability of product and verification of the Samples for the Customer requirement, Quad/Graphics specifications, general Mail specifications and job instructions. This includes but not limited to measuring, testing glues, labels, perfs, personalizing, color and postal specs.
3. Complete sample paperwork and data entry in accordance with department practices and procedures.
4. Manually go through the Customer sample, put into bundles and label bundles as required.
a. This may involve opening product and look through the panel for noticeable defect or for the criteria that was required, no longer is compliable.
5. Pack bundles into carton, produce a shipping label and send samples as required.
- Verifying Print and or copy:
1. Visually check the printed Roll sheet against the Digital Blue Line for copy, ID’s, layout and the color as required.
- Auditing Finishing:
1. Randomly checking live production or QC Documents as being produce in accordance with customer requirement, Quad/Graphics specifications, general Mail specification and the job instruction as required.
a. This includes but not limited to measuring, testing glues, labels, perfs, personalizing, color, postal spec and overall quality of the product.
b. Insuring the special instruction on the Finishing Ticket are being followed and elevate any concerns of the product or requirements to the Press Operator, Supervisor, Management and Customer Service Representative as needed.
c. Completing Data Entry as required
- Maintaining of QC records:
1. Remove full cartons of QC. Documents from the Finishing presses, place on skid/pallets, record information and have the full pallet placed into storage as outlined in procedures.
a. This includes using an adjustable cart to move full cartons, tape gun and a pallet jack to move skid/pallet of cartons as needed.
2. Remove full cartons of Roll pulls from the table, place on skid/pallet, record information and have the full pallet placed into storage as outlined in procedures.
a. This includes using an tape gun and a pallet jack to move full pallets of cartons as needed.
Marginal Functions of Job:
- The ability to move trays and/or cartons up to 45 lbs.
- The ability to visual and physically inspect and test product functionality.
- The ability to sit, stand and or walk for 12 hours, 4-6 days per week with overtime as production requires.
- The ability to communicate with others and give directions.
- The ability to use a pallet jack, tape gun, scissors, utility knife, trimmer, water stick, ruler, letter opener, glue stick, Postal Template, Micrometer and Densitometer.
- The ability to use a computer and copier.

Position Responsibilities:
Lead the systems engineering efforts for capacity expansion programs, ensuring alignment with overall program goals and objectives
Lead the cross-functional team to define and maintain the system requirements, interfaces, behaviors, and verification requirements
Apply interdisciplinary, collaborative approaches to plan, design, develop and verify complex systems solutions
Evaluate customer and /operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces
Perform analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success
Develop, manage, and validate system requirements, including technical specifications and supplier requirements, to ensure compliance with program standards.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Prior Systems Engineering experience to include but not limited to system design, functional decomposition, requirements development, analysis, verification, and validation

- Identifying and evaluating nonconforming work and services (including contracted services and purchased materials) and issuing discrepancies and/or corrective actions and preventive actions (CAPA), as appropriate.
