Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) is responsible for ensuring our products are Safe, Reliable, Maintainable and delivered on time. Our Life Cycle Engineering disciplines participate in the total life cycle of our products from conception to deactivation. Our focus area is product support, including the following disciplines: Reliability System Safety and Supportability.
This location is based onsite at ( Tewksbury, MA and Huntsville, AL.)
As the Lower Tier Air and Missile Defense Sensor (LTAMDS) Technical Manual Writer , you’ll support the development of all aspects of the LTAMDS TMs. In this role, you’ll be part of a team of writers and illustrators in the development of operational and maintenance manuals of the LTAMDS program.
What you will do :
- Assess Engineering data for impacts to existing technical content.
- Develop Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs) and other documentation, including material addressing:
- System functional theory
- Operations
- Preventive and corrective maintenance, schematics and illustrated parts breakdowns from compiled engineering technical reports, drawings, and parts lists
- DAMWO
- Coordinate / support all Safety and Engineering Peer Reviews of TMs.
- Coordinate / support all Validation requirements and events.
- Conduct quality review of materials.
This role will require travel (up to 20%).
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
- Experience creating/editing written technical documentation in a military or civilian environment. ( Such as Operational Manuals, Maintenance Manuals etc.)
- Experience with Agile.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued SECRET level security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Experience with the Eagle Publishing System, MIL Standard 40051 or S1000D
- Ability to work independently and analyze technical documentation.
- Ability to set guidelines and standards
- Ability to mentor the newer members of the team, to grow the team.
- Knowledgeable with ICC and Fire Unit Operations.
- Patriot Master Gunner or Top Gun graduate.
- Knowledgeable on organizational maintenance and remove and replace techniques.
- Knowledgeable with radar theory and radar propagation.

- DAMWO
- Coordinate / support all Safety and Engineering Peer Reviews of TMs.
- Coordinate / support all Validation requirements and events.
- Conduct quality review of materials.
This role will require travel (up to 20%).
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
- Experience creating/editing written technical documentation in a military or civilian environment. ( Such as Operational Manuals, Maintenance Manuals etc.)
- Experience with Agile.
