Full Job Description

Target Corporation is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Junior Procurement Analyst to join our growing team in New York City. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with a dynamic team in a fast-paced and rewarding environment. As a Junior Procurement Analyst, you will play a vital role in the procurement process, helping to ensure that Target receives high-quality goods and services at the best possible prices. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for a recent graduate or someone with limited experience in the field.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the sourcing and selection of suppliers for various goods and services.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
  • Process purchase orders and track shipments.
  • Monitor supplier performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement activities.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers.
  • Analyze market trends and identify potential cost savings opportunities.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth procurement processes.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement department.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 0-2 years of experience in procurement or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with procurement software is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Passion for continuous improvement.
