Full Job Description

ExxonMobil is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate Chemical Engineer to join our team in Austin, Texas. As an Associate Chemical Engineer, you will apply your technical expertise to solve complex engineering problems and contribute to the design, construction, and operation of chemical processing facilities. This role requires strong technical skills, a commitment to safety, and a passion for innovation.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop chemical processes and equipment.
  • Conduct process simulations and modeling to optimize efficiency and safety.
  • Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and reports.
  • Conduct process hazard analyses (PHAs) to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Provide technical support to construction and operations teams.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and technological advancements.
  • Collaborate with other engineers and scientists to solve complex problems.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety and efficiency.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • 1-3 years of experience in chemical engineering (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of chemical process principles and thermodynamics.
  • Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Commitment to safety and environmental responsibility.
