Full Job Description

UPS is seeking a motivated Inside Sales Representative to join our team, with remote opportunities available for candidates in the San Diego, California area.

As an Inside Sales Representative at UPS, you will be responsible for generating new business and growing existing accounts over the phone and through digital channels. You will identify potential customers, pitch UPS services, and work to close sales deals within a defined territory or customer segment. This role requires strong sales skills, persistence, and the ability to communicate effectively with potential and existing clients remotely.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct outbound calls and emails to prospective customers to generate leads and qualify opportunities.
  • Manage a pipeline of sales leads and opportunities.
  • Present UPS shipping and logistics solutions to potential clients.
  • Negotiate pricing and service agreements.
  • Close sales deals and onboard new customers.
  • Build and maintain relationships with existing small to medium-sized business customers.
  • Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell additional UPS services.
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions in the CRM system.
  • Collaborate with field sales representatives and customer service teams.
  • Stay informed about UPS services, pricing, and competitive offerings.
  • Provide basic support and guidance to customers on using UPS tools.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, or a related field is a plus.
  • 1-3 years of experience in inside sales, telemarketing, or customer-facing sales roles.
  • Proven ability to achieve sales targets.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly over the phone.
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to handle rejection and stay motivated.
  • Understanding of logistics or shipping services is a plus.
  • Reliable internet connection and a dedicated workspace.
