Full Job Description

Marriott International is seeking a creative and organized Marketing Coordinator to join our team in Washington, D.C. In this role, you will support the marketing team in executing marketing campaigns, managing social media, creating marketing materials, and coordinating promotional activities for Marriott properties and brands in the region. You will work closely with marketing managers, agencies, and hotel teams to ensure marketing initiatives are implemented effectively. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual looking to grow their career in hospitality marketing.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the planning and execution of marketing campaigns across various channels (digital, print, social media).
  • Manage social media accounts for designated properties, creating and scheduling content.
  • Create and update marketing materials, such as brochures, flyers, and digital assets.
  • Coordinate promotional activities and events.
  • Support the development of email marketing campaigns.
  • Assist with website content updates and management.
  • Monitor marketing campaign performance and track key metrics.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and agencies (e.g., print shops, designers).
  • Process invoices and manage marketing budget tracking.
  • Maintain marketing asset libraries and databases.

  • Prepare reports on marketing activities and results.
  • Assist with public relations efforts.
  • Stay updated on marketing trends and best practices, especially in the hospitality industry.
  • Coordinate photo and video shoots.
  • Support the planning and execution of content marketing initiatives.
  • Analyze social media engagement and performance.
  • Assist with the creation of presentations.
  • Ensure accuracy of marketing information across platforms.
  • Manage timelines and deliverables for marketing projects.
  • Work with project management tools.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, or a related field.
  • 1+ years of experience in marketing or a related field, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and marketing.
  • Basic understanding of digital marketing concepts (SEO, SEM, email marketing) is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with graphic design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
