Full Job Description

Marriott International is seeking a creative Hotel Marketing Manager to join our team in Austin, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies to promote our hotel properties, drive bookings, and enhance brand visibility in the local market. You will work closely with the hotel's leadership team, sales, and revenue management to create compelling campaigns and content that attract leisure and business travelers. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the marketing presence for a leading hospitality brand in a vibrant city.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans for the hotel property/properties.
  • Create marketing content, including website copy, social media posts, email campaigns, and promotional materials.
  • Manage the hotel's social media presence and engage with online communities.
  • Coordinate digital marketing efforts, including SEO, SEM, and online advertising.
  • Develop and manage email marketing campaigns targeting various guest segments.
  • Collaborate with the sales team on promotional packages and offers.
  • Manage the hotel's presence on online travel agencies (OTAs) and review sites.
  • Analyze marketing campaign performance and ROI.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor marketing activities.
  • Develop relationships with local media, influencers, and community partners.
  • Plan and execute events to promote the hotel.
  • Ensure all marketing materials adhere to Marriott brand standards.
  • Manage the marketing budget effectively.
  • Work with revenue management to align marketing efforts with pricing and occupancy strategies.
  • Create compelling visual content (photos, videos) showcasing the hotel.
  • Track website traffic and conversion rates.
  • Prepare reports on marketing activities and results for management.
  • Support public relations efforts.
  • Identify opportunities for partnerships and cross-promotions.
  • Stay up-to-date with digital marketing tools and techniques.
  • Gather guest feedback and incorporate insights into marketing strategies.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in marketing, with experience in the hospitality or travel industry preferred.
  • Proven experience developing and executing marketing campaigns.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing channels (social media, email, SEO/SEM).
  • Experience managing social media for a brand.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to create engaging and persuasive content.
  • Experience with marketing analytics tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Creativity and ability to think outside the box.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of the local Austin market is a plus.
  • Experience with CRM or marketing automation systems is beneficial.
  • Photography or video editing skills are a plus.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings or weekends for events.
  • Experience managing a marketing budget.
