Full Job Description
Raytheon Technologies is seeking a skilled Radar Systems
Engineer to join our Electrical Engineering team in Jacksonville,
Florida. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development,
and testing of advanced radar systems for defense and aerospace
applications. You will apply your expertise in radar principles,
signal processing, and system design to develop innovative solutions.

- Design, analyze, and test radar systems and subsystems.
- Develop radar signal processing algorithms.
- Perform system-level design and integration.
- Simulate and model radar system performance.
- Analyze radar data and identify issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, software engineers, and test engineers.
- Develop technical specifications and documentation.
- Participate in design reviews and technical meetings.
- Troubleshoot system issues during development and testing.
- Ensure system compliance with performance, reliability, and safety requirements.
- Utilize engineering software and tools relevant to radar system design (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink, STK).
- Support integration and testing activities.
- Develop test plans and procedures.
- Analyze test results and provide technical reports.
- Stay up-to-date with industry standards and technological advancements in radar technology.
- Contribute to the development of technical proposals.
- Work within budget and schedule constraints.
- Present technical findings and recommendations to internal teams and customers.
- Conduct root cause analysis for technical problems.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with government and industry standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in radar systems engineering or a related field.
- Strong understanding of radar principles, including waveform design, signal processing, and detection theory.
- Experience with radar system design, analysis, and testing.
- Proficiency in MATLAB or other simulation tools for radar performance analysis.
- Experience with digital signal processing (DSP) concepts.
- Knowledge of RF/microwave engineering principles is a plus.
- Experience with systems integration and testing.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance (required for this role).
- Experience with programming languages (e.g., Python, C++) is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge of military standards and defense acquisition processes is beneficial.
