Raytheon Technologies is seeking a highly experienced Lead Manufacturing Engineer to join our advanced manufacturing facility in Fort Worth, Texas.

As a Lead Manufacturing Engineer at Raytheon Technologies, you will be responsible for leading engineering efforts to develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for complex aerospace and defense products. You will head projects aimed at improving efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing product quality and reliability. This role involves collaborating with design engineering, supply chain, and production teams to ensure manufacturability and smooth transitions from design to production. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aerospace or defense manufacturing, process development, and experience leading technical teams or projects. This is a critical leadership role in delivering high-performance systems for national security and commercial aerospace.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead manufacturing engineering projects from concept through implementation.
  • Develop, qualify, and document manufacturing processes and procedures.
  • Collaborate with design engineers to ensure product manufacturability (DFM) and assembly (DFA).
  • Identify and implement process improvements to reduce cycle time, defects, and costs.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for manufacturing issues.
  • Select and qualify manufacturing equipment and tooling.
  • Develop and optimize production layouts and workflows.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to manufacturing engineers and technicians.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) activities.
  • Utilize statistical process control (SPC) and other quality tools.
  • Ensure manufacturing processes comply with industry standards (e.g., AS9100) and customer requirements.
  • Prepare technical reports, presentations, and cost justifications.
  • Manage project budgets and schedules.
  • Lead cross-functional teams on process improvement initiatives.
  • Stay informed about new manufacturing technologies and materials.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in aerospace, defense, or a similarly regulated industry.
  • Proven experience leading manufacturing projects or teams.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, including machining, assembly, inspection, and testing.
  • Experience with DFM/DFA principles.
  • Proficiency in CAD/CAM software is a plus.
  • Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and quality tools.
  • Knowledge of industry quality standards (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Project management experience.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
