Job Summary:
PepsiCo is seeking reliable Production Operators to join our manufacturing team in Dallas, Texas. As a Production Operator, you will be responsible for operating machinery and equipment involved in the production of beverages or snacks. This includes setting up machines, monitoring production processes, performing quality checks, and ensuring that products meet PepsiCo's high standards. As a Production Operator, you will be responsible for operating machinery and equipment involved in the production of beverages or snacks. This includes setting up machines, monitoring production processes, performing quality checks, and ensuring that products meet PepsiCo's high standards. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate production machinery and equipment according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Set up and adjust machinery for different products or production runs.
- Monitor production lines to ensure smooth operation and identify any issues.
- Perform quality checks on products and packaging to ensure they meet specifications.
- Record production data, including output, downtime, and quality metrics.
- Troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions and perform basic maintenance tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following good manufacturing practices (GMPs).
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, including Lockout/Tagout procedures.
- Follow production schedules and contribute to achieving daily production targets.
- Work as part of a team on the production line.
- Report any equipment issues, safety hazards, or quality concerns to the supervisor.
- Assist in training new operators as needed.
- Handle raw materials and finished products carefully.
- Ensure proper labeling and packaging of products.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities.
- Follow all sanitation procedures.
- Operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklift) if certified and required.
- Perform repetitive tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Stand for extended periods during shifts.
- Lift and move materials or products as required.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience as a Machine Operator or Production Associate in a manufacturing environment, preferably in food/beverage or FMCG.
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot production machinery.
- Basic mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to follow instructions and work with attention to detail.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately.
- Understanding of quality control principles.
- Commitment to safety and quality standards.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weight.
- Ability to work various shifts (day, night, weekends) as required.
- Reliable transportation to and from the plant.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
