Full Job Description

Uber is seeking Customer Service Representatives to join our remote team supporting operations based out of Houston, Texas. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be the first point of contact for our users, providing assistance and resolving issues related to rides, deliveries, and account inquiries.

Responsibilities:
  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat in a timely and professional manner.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues related to the Uber platform, including app functionality, trip details, and payment issues.
  • Provide information and support to both riders and drivers/delivery partners.
  • Escalate complex issues to the appropriate internal teams for resolution.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and resolutions.
  • Educate customers on Uber's policies and procedures.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the customer experience and provide feedback to management.
  • Adhere to service level agreements (SLAs) and quality standards.
  • Handle sensitive customer information with confidentiality and discretion.
  • Stay updated on new features, policies, and system changes within the Uber platform.
  • Work effectively in a remote environment, managing time and productivity independently.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors through online communication tools.
  • Assist with proactive outreach to users regarding service updates or issues.
  • Maintain a positive and empathetic attitude towards customers.
  • Meet or exceed individual and team performance metrics.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college is a plus.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service role, preferably in a call center or online support environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to multitask and navigate multiple systems simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in using computer software and online tools.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
  • Requires a quiet workspace with reliable internet connection.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as the service operates 24/7.
  • Customer-focused attitude with a desire to help others.
  • Experience in the tech, transportation, or gig economy sectors is a plus.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
  • Typing speed and accuracy are important.
