In this role, you will be a key player in shaping the voice and presence of Twitter across its own platform and potentially others, with a focus on engaging users, driving conversation, and supporting e-commerce integrations or features on the platform. You will develop compelling content strategies, analyze performance data, and collaborate with marketing, product, and engineering teams to create impactful social media campaigns and content that resonates with our global audience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive social media content strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Create engaging and shareable content for Twitter's official accounts and campaigns.
  • Oversee content calendar planning and scheduling.
  • Analyze social media performance data and metrics to measure the effectiveness of content strategies.
  • Identify emerging trends and conversations on Twitter and other platforms to inform content creation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, engineering, and communications, to support launches and initiatives.
  • Monitor the social media landscape for relevant discussions and brand mentions.
  • Manage social media listening tools and analyze sentiment.
  • Develop compelling visual content ideas (graphics, videos) in collaboration with design teams.
  • Stay up-to-date on platform features, algorithms, and best practices.
  • Plan and execute social media campaigns, including paid promotions.
  • Engage with the Twitter community and respond to comments and messages when appropriate.
  • Ensure brand consistency and voice across all social media channels.
  • Report on social media performance and provide insights to stakeholders.
  • Experiment with new content formats and strategies to optimize engagement.
  • Identify opportunities to integrate e-commerce or shopping-related content and features into the social media strategy.
  • Work closely with legal and policy teams to ensure content compliance.
  • Provide guidance and support to regional social media teams.
  • Manage relationships with external partners or influencers for content collaborations.
  • Contribute to crisis communications on social media if needed.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in social media marketing, content strategy, or a related role, preferably within a tech, e-commerce, or media company.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful social media content strategies.
  • Deep understanding of the Twitter platform and its dynamics.
  • Strong understanding of other major social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn).
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Experience using social media management and analytics tools.
  • Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Creativity and ability to think outside the box.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Understanding of e-commerce trends and social commerce is a plus.
  • Experience with crisis communications on social media is desirable.
  • Knowledge of current internet culture and trends.
