Join SAP in Charlotte!
SAP is seeking an experienced Senior SAP Basis Administrator to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. You will be responsible for the installation, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of SAP systems. This role requires deep technical expertise in SAP Basis administration, a strong understanding of underlying infrastructure, and the ability to ensure the stability and performance of our SAP landscapes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, and upgrade SAP systems (e.g., S/4HANA, ECC, BW, CRM).
  • Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
  • Manage SAP landscapes, including development, quality, and production environments.
  • Apply SAP Notes, support packages, and kernel upgrades.
  • Perform system copies, client copies, and data refresh activities.
  • Manage system security, including user administration and authorization roles.
  • Configure and monitor system backups and recovery procedures.
  • Implement and manage disaster recovery solutions for SAP systems.
  • Work closely with database administrators (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, HANA) to ensure optimal database performance.
  • Collaborate with functional teams to support their requirements.
  • Plan and execute system maintenance activities during scheduled downtimes.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues related to SAP Basis and infrastructure.
  • Implement and manage SAP transport management system (TMS).
  • Monitor system logs and alerts and take corrective actions.
  • Utilize SAP monitoring tools (e.g., Solution Manager).
  • Develop and maintain documentation for SAP Basis procedures and configurations.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest SAP technologies and best practices.
  • Provide technical support to other IT teams.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for critical system support.
  • Contribute to capacity planning and performance optimization initiatives.
  • Manage interfaces and connections between SAP systems and external applications.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in SAP Basis administration.
  • Hands-on experience with multiple SAP modules and system types.
  • Strong understanding of operating systems (Linux, Windows Server) and database systems (HANA experience is a strong plus).
  • Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) supporting SAP workloads.
  • Proficiency with SAP Solution Manager.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Relevant SAP certifications are a plus.
  • Experience with automation tools and scripting is preferred.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
