Job Summary:
Bank of America is looking for motivated and client-focused Financial Sales Consultants to join our team in Houston, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for building and nurturing relationships with clients, identifying their financial needs, and providing tailored solutions from Bank of America's diverse product and service portfolio. Responsibilities:
  • Proactively identify and engage with potential and existing clients to understand their financial goals and needs.
  • Educate clients on Bank of America's products and services, including banking, lending, investment, and insurance solutions.
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, serving as their trusted financial advisor.
  • Recommend appropriate financial products and services based on client profiling and needs assessment.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets and performance metrics.
  • Prepare and present financial plans and proposals to clients.
  • Stay informed about market trends, economic conditions, and industry regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal partners, such as Merrill Lynch financial advisors and lending specialists, to provide comprehensive client solutions.
  • Ensure all sales activities are conducted in compliance with Bank of America policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions and sales activities using CRM systems.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
  • Attend community events and networking opportunities to build relationships and generate leads.
  • Provide excellent customer service and address client inquiries and issues promptly.
  • Assist clients with account opening and service transactions.
  • Identify opportunities to deepen client relationships through cross-selling.
  • Conduct regular reviews of client portfolios.
  • Handle confidential client information with discretion and integrity.
  • Prepare reports on sales performance and progress towards goals.
  • Contribute to team goals and objectives.
  • Develop strategies for acquiring new clients.
  • Manage a pipeline of prospective clients.
  • Stay updated on competitor offerings.
  • Adhere to ethical standards and sales practices.
  • Support clients through the application process for various products.
  • Attend sales meetings and contribute to team discussions.
  • Develop expertise in specific product areas as required.
  • Follow up on referrals and leads generated internally.
  • Provide feedback to management on client needs and market trends.
  • Help clients navigate digital banking tools.
  • Ensure a positive and welcoming experience for clients visiting the branch.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in sales, preferably within the financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of banking products, lending options, and investment concepts.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
  • Goal-oriented and self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed in a sales environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of CRM software is a plus.
  • FINRA Series 7 and 66 (or equivalent) licenses may be required within a specified timeframe after hire.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Understanding of regulatory compliance in financial sales.
  • Ability to manage multiple client relationships simultaneously.
