- Consults and communicates care objectives with dentists, specialists, dental laboratories and community resources to aid patient in achieving oral health goals.

- Collaborates with dentists, patients, and the healthcare team, as well as community resources.
- Triages and resolves concerns for patients calling in.
- Provides resources and support related to referral process, including management of pre-authorizations from insurance companies.
- Works with dentist to determine an individualized plan of care with targeted interventions, monitors patient and family’s response to plan of care and consults with clinical team if modifications may be needed.
- Manages communication related to incoming and outgoing referrals.

- Assist in providing a safe, comforting, and welcoming exam room atmosphere
- Administer IVs and draw blood as needed for patients
- Maintain and update the "crash cart," ensuring all medications are current
- Manage medical clearances for patients, including faxing, following up, and consulting with specialists
- Maintain organized and accurate drug logs
- Count syringes left over from the previous day to ensure accurate counts
- Obtain NYS PMP records for patients on the morning of their procedure
- Utilize EMR to document crucial patient conversations
- Assist with triage questions and setting up surgical rooms
- Draw medications and anesthetics for surgical cases
Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
- Licensed LPN required
- CPR Certification
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
- Experience administering IVs and drawing patient blood (Required)
- Bachelor's degree (Preferred)
- Medical Professional Liability Insurance (Malpractice Insurance)
