About the Role
We’re seeking compassionate, bilingual professionals to join our team as a bilingual Direct Care Worker , supporting youth in a structured and nurturing environment. Pay: $21.21/hour (Bi-weekly pay)
Location: 7404 Hwy 90 West, San Antonio, TX
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Shift: 2 PM – 8 PM (Evenings)
Travel: Will need to commute to the on-site location.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Direct Care Floater is responsible for providing direct youth supportive service coverage during times a position is open and temporary staff leave. Floater staff will support Youth Advocate (Case Manager), Education and Employment Specialist, and Housing Specialist position to provide case management, skills development, assessment, crisis management and implementation of intervention strategies that directly support youth to build skills towards independent living. The Floater staff is active in developing, supporting and implementing an individualized, strength ‘based, culturally competent, youth-centered approach. A successful Floater staff understands how to motivate, coach, and mentor young adults to achieve goals while transitioning into adult lives from the foster care system. The Direct Care Floater position is part of a pool authorized to work up to 29 hours per week when an assignment becomes available. No hours are guaranteed on an ongoing basis. and depends on the needs of the organization. After completing required training, individuals in this role will be contacted to fill in when scheduling needs or vacancies arise. Direct Care Professional
Department: Developmental Brain Injury Services
Location: Residential programs throughout Hamden, Hampshire, Franklin & Berkshire counties!
Shift: Multiple shifts available, including overnights
Pay: $18-$0 per hour (Base on experience and certifications - See below)

Key Responsibilities:
- Help with Daily Activities: Assist with everyday tasks such as eating, dressing, and using special equipment.
- Home Support: Cook meals, clean, do laundry, shop for groceries, and help keep the home cozy.
- Transportation: Drive residents to appointments, events, and other activities.
- Keep Records: Write daily notes and track important information.
- Support Goals: Help residents achieve their personal goals.
- Administer Medication: Give out medications once trained.
- Stay Updated: Complete required training and certifications.
- Teamwork: Work closely with your team and follow instructions from your manager.
- No Educational Requirements: We will train you!
- Drivers License: Must have a valid license for at least 6 months and a good driving record.
- Physical Ability: Be able to perform all the tasks needed and ensure the safety of residents.
- Basic Computer Skills: Know how to use a computer.
- Background Check Required
Compensation Pay Range Requirements:
- 18/hr: For individuals without Medical Application Program (MAP) certification
- 20/hr: For individuals with an active MAP certification
- Base 18/hr + 2/hr MAP certification differential
