Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
Project Management

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Create bill of material and drawing packages for manufacture for equipment of moderate complexity.
· Independently performs design, troubleshooting and commissioning job functions as needed to support IEM equipment.

Working Conditions
Some travel and work outside of normal business hours. Occasional travel to various locations in state and out-of-state to visit job sites and attend meetings with consultants and equipment suppliers is required. Summary
Are you a proactive leader with a passion for managing complex civil engineering projects? We’re looking for a Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of projects in transportation infrastructure , municipal engineering , and public works design . In this role, you’ll leverage your expertise to manage all aspects of project execution, from scope and budget development to client communications and team mentorship.
You’ll work on high-impact projects for local agencies and municipalities, ensuring technical excellence, budget adherence, and client satisfaction. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to projects that shape communities, while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and mentoring the next generation of engineers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Project Management
- Develop project scopes, detailed budgets, and contracts, focusing on transportation engineering , ADA compliance , and drainage design .
- Assemble and lead cross-functional project teams, ensuring seamless coordination between disciplines, subconsultants, and contractors.
- Conduct project kickoff and regular status meetings, aligning teams on tasks, schedules, and milestones for roadway design and municipal infrastructure improvements .
- Deliver projects on time and within budget, ensuring compliance with quality control standards and client requirements.
- Oversee QA/QC processes, ensuring designs adhere to industry standards and municipal regulations.
- Proactively address project scope and budget changes, securing approvals for amendments as needed.
- Serve as the primary client contact, maintaining strong relationships with local agencies and stakeholders throughout project lifecycles.
- Monitor adherence to CADD standards and maintain detailed project documentation.
Business Development
- Identify opportunities to expand services in transportation systems , stormwater management , and public works engineering .
- Lead the preparation of proposals, showcasing innovative and cost-effective solutions for infrastructure projects.
- Represent the firm in client presentations and industry events, building relationships that lead to new projects and contracts.
- Promote cross-marketing of the firm’s services, fostering long-term partnerships with clients and municipalities.
Client and Team Communications
- Manage project billing and collections, ensuring financial performance aligns with company goals.
- Maintain ongoing communication with clients after project completion to identify additional service opportunities.
- Facilitate clear and effective communication across teams, clients, and contractors, ensuring project goals and expectations are met.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in civil engineering design , with a focus on transportation infrastructure or municipal engineering .
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in California.
- Strong relationships with local agencies, including municipalities, with experience navigating local and state funding programs .
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, delivering results that exceed client expectations.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers, fostering professional growth and technical excellence.
- Skilled in developing proposals, scopes of work, and detailed budgets for municipal and transportation projects .
- Effective problem-solving abilities, with a track record of addressing challenges in dynamic project environments.

Compensation Range
$108,900.00 - $171,700.00
The expected compensation range for this position is displayed in accordance with California’s SB 1162. The final agreed-upon compensation is based on a number of factors, including but not limited to: individual education, qualifications, skills, prior work experience, competencies, and geographic work location. The total annual compensation package may consist of a base salary and eligibility to participate, after a qualifying period, in our performance and discretionary incentive bonus program(s).

- Lead Design & Construction : Oversee distribution and transmission projects, managing power line routing, staking, easements, and cost estimates.
- Drive Reliability : Direct PRECorp’s Performance Reliability Enhancement Program (PREP) through inspection and design initiatives.
- Manage Teams : Supervise and mentor Design Engineers, Engineering Design Coordinators, and Distribution Design Technicians, fostering a high-performing team.
- Support Compliance : Play a major role in PRECorp’s WECC/NERC compliance program, ensuring accuracy and supporting audits and documentation.

What You Bring
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (power system design, planning, or coordination focus preferred).
- Professional Engineering (PE) license in Wyoming, or ability to obtain within one year of hire.
- 15+ years of experience in powerline design and engineering (transmission and distribution), with supervisory experience strongly preferred.
- 10+ years of formal leadership managing engineering teams.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
