Allied Universal® is hiring an Armed Security Officer. The Armed Security Officer is responsible for the safety and security of the facilities they protect. Our Armed Security Officers allow us to accomplish our company's core purpose which is “to service, secure and care for the people and businesses in our communities." Armed Security Officers act as a visible deterrent to crime and client rule infractions; they detect and report suspicious, unsafe or criminal acts at or near their assigned posts which may be a threat to the property, clients, guests or employees at the site.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide high quality security services, safeguarding personnel, property, and information
• Conduct patrols within and around the facility on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to ensure the protection of people, assets, and sensitive or classified information
• Preserve order and enforces rules, regulations, and directives for the viability of the site
• Maintains proficiency in the use of all assigned protective equipment, restraint devices and weapons.
• Greet guests and employees, assisting where appropriate; escort visitors and contractors, secure ingress and egress points, secure classified information
• Follow site-specific performance manuals and post orders, reporting safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances via written and verbal communication; interact with client and/or other security personnel regarding order execution when appropriate
• Respond to and assesses security alarms or emergency alarms; act as a first responder in emergency situations and provide first aid as necessary

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

• High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
• Minimum of three (3) years of law enforcement, military, or private armed security experience
• Minimum of 21 years of age (or higher if required by the state)
• Excellent communication skills; able to articulate and write clear and concise incident or situation reports
• Able to complete all range qualifications and functions

Position Description: Law Enforcement Role Players will participate in training scenarios at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Glynco, GA. Role Playing scenarios will range from encounters with Customs and Border Protection Officers, Interrogations, Personal Searches, Traffic Stops, Simulated Arrests, Physical Surveillance, and other similar law enforcement operations. Role players will participate in one or multiple scenarios lasting from two to eight hours. Hours of operation are generally 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays. Role players will be scheduled according to their availability and are permitted to work as many scenarios as they wish.

Required Qualifications:

1. 18 years of age or older and be a U.S. citizen

2. Capable of passing a National Agency Check and have no active warrants or been convicted of a felony within the previous six years.

3. Physically and mentally capable of performing assigned roles, which may require extended periods outdoors.

Marine Law Enforcement Specialist

This position involves conducting aviation-based law enforcement operations for the detection, prevention, interdiction, and apprehension of terrorists, terrorist weapons, and other contraband and persons from illegally entering or attacking the United States.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting air patrol, surveillance, and pursuit activities related to the interdiction of smuggled contraband via land vehicles, aircraft, or vessels.
• Monitoring behavior patterns and activities of suspect persons, vehicles, or vessels believed to be engaged in illegal activities.
• Collecting, refining, and analyzing strategic and tactical intelligence.
• Supporting search and rescue and humanitarian efforts.

Qualifications:

• A current FAA Commercial or ATP Pilot Certification with one of the following ratings: Dual Rated, Airplane Rated, or Helicopter Rated.
• 1500 flight hours; up to 500 hours can be waived, reducing the pilot enter on duty minimums to 1000 hours.
• 250 Pilot-in-Command hours; 75 Instrument hours; 75 Night hours; and 100 Flight hours in the last 12 months.
• Equivalent military rating of the above at the time of application (eligibility based on military flight experience must provide official orders, forms or logbooks showing their status as a rated military pilot).

Benefits:

• Salary range $106,000 - $127,000 per year based on qualifications for the GS-11 grade level.
• Special Salary Rate (SSR); Law Enforcement Availability Pay (LEAP); Recruitment Incentive; and Retention Incentive.
• Federal employment benefits including health, dental, and other insurance plans; annual and sick leave program; and participation in the Thrift Savings Plan.

Requirements:

• Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Residency: Must have had primary U.S. residency for at least three of the last five years.
• Age Requirement: Must not exceed the maximum age for original appointment to a primary Law Enforcement Officer position within DHS (37 years old).

Training:

• May be required to successfully complete the training requirement as a condition of employment.
• Failure to successfully complete the required course(s) of training in accordance with CBP standards and policies will result in placement into either a former or different position, demotion, or separation as determined by management and appropriate procedures.

Travel:

• May be expected to travel for this position based on operational needs.
