- Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water
- Positions blocks and secures equipment during transit in accordance with federal guidelines
- Other duties as assigned

- High school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accredited educational institution
- CDL A
- Clean driving record

- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
- Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)

- TWIC

Full job description
A family-owned trucking company needs a Flat-Bed OTR Driver. This position is responsible for loading, transporting, delivering, and unloading fuel products to and from specified destinations. Transport Drivers are expected to load and unload the product in an efficient, timely, and safe manor.
- Must keep accurate records & drivers daily logs.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with dispatcher and customers.
- This position requires you to go on the road as needed. There is no guarantee you will be home every night.
- Must be proficient with safe work practices.
- Observes safe driving practices while on the road.
- Reports all accident and near misses to supervisor within 24 hours of occurrence.
- Follows Safe Work Procedures while carrying out all job tasks.
- Maintain cleanliness of the cab.
- Inspects vehicle and notifies manager of needed equipment, supplies, or routine maintenance.
- During interaction with customers provides exceptional customer service by supplying service information and answering any questions.
- Meets all DOT requirements.
- Keeps vehicle and equipment serviced and running well to minimize delays in delivery.
- Available to work an "on call" schedule to cover any off hour customer emergencies.
Must Have Class A CDL
