    The Electrical Engineer will have electrical ownership of Production Units and Electrical Programs served by (4) 138KV feeds from the Utility with a breaker-and-a-half bus scheme, which are complimented by (2) gas fired Cogeneration plants (75MW each), (2) steam turbines (50MW each) with a total generation of 250MW. The electrical distribution is made up of almost 300 substations with nominal voltages of 35KV, 12KV, 4.16KV, 2.4KV, and 480V which serve plant loads.

    The Electrical Engineer is a staff function with no direct reports. The role is a key member of the Electrical Engineering Department with many interfaces within the plant and outside the plant with vendors and other partners. Interpersonal skills, negotiating skills, networking ability and the ability to manage multiple interfaces with varying needs and priorities are critical factors for this position. The Electrical Engineer role is a highly collaborative and dynamic position. Successful candidates must be able to work alone or as part of a team. Primary interfaces are with other members of the Electrical Engineering Department; Process Engineering staff; Operations, Maintenance, Production staff; other discipline personnel; contract engineers; and vendor/manufacturer ’s representatives in support of 24x7 operation of the site.     • Characterize the electrical, thermal and mechanical performance of common design elements through testing, simulation and/or analytical methods. Develop standard design criteria and models.
    • Work closely with manufacturing engineering to implement Design for Manufacturability (DFM) concepts throughout the new product development process.
