Serve Robotics is seeking a Director of Engineering, Fleet Management Delivery Platform to oversee the development of a highly scalable and robust platform that matches delivery orders with robots and robot supervisors, monitors end-to-end delivery workflow from merchants to customers, and optimizes every aspect of our delivery logistics.

In this role you will provide leadership and direction to a highly technical software engineering team while directly contributing time coding, designing, and reviewing code, designs and specifications. You will work closely with product and operations to prioritize the work, and you’ll hire, allocate the work, and support your team to deliver features from concept to production. Your product goals will be to ensure that our systems are performant and reliable while meeting the demands of nationwide expansion, and that your team is contributing to ongoing innovation in our automated delivery logistics.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of hands-on leadership of small and highly technical software engineering teams. You will have experience hiring, mentoring and coaching Sr. and Staff level engineers, building a high-performance, collaborative team. You are motivated by delivering on business critical needs, in this case, supporting our delivery partners and internal delivery operations as we scale our robotic delivery fleet.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the Team: Identify the hiring needs, run the hiring process for your team, champion the onboarding process for new team members, and be the primary person responsible for their professional growth and success.

  • Technical Leadership: Mentor a small team of Software Engineers, establish best practices, and lead by example through hands-on coding and code reviews.

  • Platform Ownership: Own the Fleet Management Delivery Platform, designing, owning and ensuring the platform meets SLAs and reliability targets, and evolves to meet new business requirements.

  • Collaboration: Partner with product managers, operations teams, and other stakeholders to align technical solutions with business objectives. Work with external partners and vendors as one of their main points of contact, representing both your team and the business.

  • Quality & Process Improvement: Champion code quality, testing strategies, and continuous integration/deployment. Proactively seek opportunities to streamline workflows and enhance team productivity.

  • Future-Proofing: Experience staying current with emerging technologies and industry best practices, integrating relevant tools and techniques to keep our platforms cutting-edge.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of professional experience in software development including leading small teams of Sr. and/or Staff Software Engineers.

Hiring, Leadership & Team Management with a Hands-on Approach

  • Experience growing and managing small and technically advanced engineering teams, delivering from early concepts to production quality releases.

  • Strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Comfortable leading by example and spending time coding, brainstorming and designing solutions with your team, and reviewing code and specifications.

Technical Experience:

  • 4+ years of experience building large-scale, distributed systems.

  • Solid grasp of concurrency, fault tolerance, and event-driven architectures.

  • Experience with Elixir or Erlang is a plus, but Scala, Golang or other concurrency-oriented languages are also relevant experiences.

  • Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.

Assist clients with designing and implementing technology solutions to improve their finance organization's efficiency and effectiveness. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Project Management, Business Administration, GIS or IT.

  • Experience with GIS software.
  • 3D environment navigation and experience with feature extraction as it relates to a state DOT is preferred.
  • Ability to be dynamic and problem solve when internal or external issues arise.

  • Submittals & Samples:  Prepare and submit submittal packages (including shop drawings, material data, and color/product samples); manage communication with the GC or architect through the approval process. Collect and submit product and color samples, as needed
  • Digital Take-Offs & Project Breakdown:  Use Planswift (or similar software) to perform final material take-offs and break down each project into defined segments, tasks, labor hours, and material needs.
  • Material Procurement & Tracking:  Work with distributors and vendors to procure materials; create purchase orders in the internal system and coordinate delivery logistics.
  • RFIs : Draft, submit, and monitor Requests for Information to clarify project requirements and resolve field issues.
  • Production Binder Creation:  Assemble comprehensive production binders to give project managers all critical project information in an organized format.
  • Estimating & Proposal Writing:  Assist in preparing estimates and formal proposals for new work and change orders, based on detailed take-offs and scope evaluation.
  • Review of CBs and Addendums:  Evaluate change bulletins and addendums for cost and scope impacts; assist with internal adjustments and documentation.
  • Cost Tracking:  Maintain accurate job cost ledgers and support project teams in identifying variances and tracking against budgets.
  • Field Support (as needed):  Travel to job sites occasionally to review conditions, verify details, and support field teams with clarification or documentation.
  • Project Coordination:  Coordinate activities, resources, equipment, and documentation to ensure projects progress efficiently and stay on schedule. Prepare and manage reports and dashboards that will be utilized in pre-construction, during construction and post-construction to evaluate projects

Serve Robotics is seeking a Director of Engineering, Fleet Management Delivery Platform to oversee the development of a highly scalable and robust platform that matches delivery orders with robots and robot supervisors, monitors end-to-end delivery workflow from merchants to customers, and optimizes every aspect of our delivery logistics. 

In this role you will provide leadership and direction to a highly technical software engineering team while directly contributing time coding, designing, and reviewing code, designs and specifications. You will work closely with product and operations to prioritize the work, and you’ll hire, allocate the work, and support your team to deliver features from concept to production. Your product goals will be to ensure that our systems are performant and reliable while meeting the demands of nationwide expansion, and that your team is contributing to ongoing innovation in our automated delivery logistics.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of hands-on leadership of small and highly technical software engineering teams. You will have experience hiring, mentoring and coaching Sr. and Staff level engineers, building a high-performance, collaborative team. You are motivated by delivering on business critical needs, in this case, supporting our delivery partners and internal delivery operations as we scale our robotic delivery fleet.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the Team: Identify the hiring needs, run the hiring process for your team, champion the onboarding process for new team members, and be the primary person responsible for their professional growth and success.

  • Technical Leadership: Mentor a small team of Software Engineers, establish best practices, and lead by example through hands-on coding and code reviews.

  • Platform Ownership: Own the Fleet Management Delivery Platform, designing, owning and ensuring the platform meets SLAs and reliability targets, and evolves to meet new  business requirements.

  • Collaboration: Partner with product managers, operations teams, and other stakeholders to align technical solutions with business objectives. Work with external partners and vendors as one of their main points of contact, representing both your team and the business.

  • Quality & Process Improvement: Champion code quality, testing strategies, and continuous integration/deployment. Proactively seek opportunities to streamline workflows and enhance team productivity.

  • Future-Proofing: Experience staying current with emerging technologies and industry best practices, integrating relevant tools and techniques to keep our platforms cutting-edge.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of professional experience in software development including leading small teams of Sr. and/or Staff Software Engineers.

Hiring, Leadership & Team Management with a Hands-on Approach

  • Experience growing and managing small and technically advanced engineering teams, delivering from early concepts to production quality releases.

  • Strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Comfortable leading by example and spending time coding, brainstorming and designing solutions with your team, and reviewing code and specifications.

Technical Experience:

  • 4+ years of experience building large-scale, distributed systems. 

  • Solid grasp of concurrency, fault tolerance, and event-driven architectures.

  • Experience with Elixir or Erlang is a plus, but Scala, Golang or other concurrency-oriented languages are also relevant experiences.

  • Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.

Softeon is looking for a Project Delivery Manager to join our team in either our Reston, VA or Atlanta, GA offices. This position guides a customer through the software adoption journey, and as such, is one of the most critical roles in our organization. More specifically, the Project Delivery Manager understands customers’ operations, understands our product platform, and has the skills to collaborate with a customer and internal Softeon teams with the goal of a successful project implementation and subsequent expansion.  

The successful candidate is someone that is a problem solver by nature, with a strong growth mindset, and is highly accountable. This person also must guide customers to the answers they seek, via our application, and leverage the expanding enablement technologies we provide. This requires an underlying understanding of our database structures and data flow as our platform processes receipts, orders and shipments.  

From a customers’ perspective, the Project Delivery Manager acts as a trusted advisor and is the key resource that helps them drive ROI results. Internally, the role of mentor is key to establishing the next generation of Project Delivery Managers.


Responsibilities:

  • Assess customer business needs and develop appropriate solution.  
    • Determine customer’s business requirements and lead using the Softeon Challenge-Refine methodology showing how their business requirements will be met. 
    • Review the RFP requirements and product documentation with the customer to confirm scope of the project 
    • Collaborate with Project Manager for task assignment, management, and delegation of the project team  
  • Provide customer consultation.  
    • Communicate with customers in a direct and honest manner. 
    • Evaluate recommended solutions based on Softeon applications and customer expectations.  
    • Assume primary configuration/testing responsibility for all Softeon solutions (WMS, Billing, Labor, etc.) 
    • Assume primary customer contact/support role for all Softeon solutions being deployed 
    • Lead discussions on operational improvements. 
    • Support customer teams to create test scripts. 
    • Assess readiness and review findings with customer. 
  • Manage ongoing deployment strategy 
    • Ensure baselines are appropriately established 
    • Oversee development and implementation of change documentation or release management policies,  
    • Monitor testing and defect tracking and approves the release of product revisions to development or production environments. 
  • Provide timely, high-level estimates of modifications, if required. 
  • Coordinate on-site training.  
    • Lead team to establish Train-the-Trainer program to train customer’s warehouse supervisors, as needed, on use of UI screens, radio frequency terminal screens, and reports generated by the application software. 
    • Support customer to prepare end-user training materials and data. 
  • Lead and mentor project team members.  
    • Assist functional and technical team members with appropriate techniques required to fulfill project assignments. 
    • Lead small teams in assignments as directed. 
    • Groom team resources to attain the next level. 
    • Provide feedback for team member’s reviews, acting as a mentor to the team. 
  • Assist in staff building through cooperative recruiting efforts.  
  • This position requires the ability to travel up to 50% of the time, annually.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, or related field, or equivalent experience in a technology related field required
  • Minimum of 6 to 8 years relevant experience in software solutions and life cycle required. Within Supply Chain industry highly preferred
  • Significant knowledge (breadth/depth) of Supply Chain Execution applications (WMS, WES, automation integrations, etc.) 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, particularly with regard to anticipating and solving problems, issues, or concerns before they occur or become critical. 
  • Able to learn supply chain concepts and progress in technical and general business skills. 
  • Ability to present complex information to individuals and small groups. 
  • Ability to conduct effective meetings.

About the Team:

The Construction Design & Delivery team is at the core of Relativity's growth and development. Through our collaboration and expertise, we deliver projects that lay the foundation for Relativity's future success. In essence, 'we build the factory that builds the rockets! We are responsible for cross functional relationships with teams such as Manufacturing, Propulsion, PBF, Avionics, Machine Shop, Facilities, EHS and Security to name a few, working through design specifications and execution of critical infrastructure projects that supports the mission of work centers. Our relationships don't stop there, working daily with government agencies, utility suppliers, vendors and contractors who support our factory build out. Our team ensures that all projects meet operational requirements, safety and environmental codes, all the while remaining within budget, delivering on time, and to the highest quality as we help to drive production forward.

About the Role:

  • Lead end-to-end execution of capital infrastructure projects from pre-construction planning through final turnover
  • Coordinate closely with superintendents, construction engineers, and CAD managers to align field activities with design intent
  • Manage contractor relationships, track progress, and ensure adherence to schedules, budgets, and safety protocols
  • Drive permitting, inspections, and compliance workflows in partnership with EH&S, security, and local authorities
  • Facilitate weekly cross-functional coordination meetings to maintain visibility and resolve field issues in real time
  • Deliver project documentation including redlines, RFI logs, and turnover packages to ensure seamless handoffs

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related technical field
  • 10+ years of construction project management experience in infrastructure, manufacturing, or commercial buildouts
  • Proven ability to lead projects from pre-construction through turnover, including budgeting, scheduling, permitting, and field coordination
  • Strong understanding of contractor management, jobsite logistics, and construction safety protocols
