Best Stop Cajun Food is seeking a dedicated Quality Control Manager to oversee our quality assurance processes and uphold our commitment to delivering the best Cajun food products to our customers. Join our team and be a part of a small, family-owned company with a big heart! We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Control Manager with HACCP certification to oversee and manage food safety and quality assurance programs in our meat processing facility. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, internal standards, and customer specifications to guarantee the production of safe, high-quality meat products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • HACCP Program Management:

    • Develop, implement, and maintain the HACCP plan.
    • Conduct regular HACCP team meetings and training.
    • Ensure all CCPs (Critical Control Points) are monitored and documented accurately.
  • Quality Assurance Oversight:

    • Supervise daily quality control operations and personnel.
    • Perform internal audits and inspections to ensure compliance with USDA, FDA, and other regulatory bodies.
    • Investigate and resolve quality issues, including customer complaints and non-conformances.
  • Food Safety Compliance:

    • Ensure adherence to GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), SSOPs (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures), and other food safety protocols.
    • Lead the plant’s food safety initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
    • Maintain documentation and records for traceability and regulatory audits.
  • Training & Development:

    • Train staff on food safety, hygiene, and quality standards.
    • Promote a culture of food safety and continuous improvement throughout the facility.
  • Reporting & Documentation:

    • Prepare and present quality reports to senior management.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inspections, audits, and corrective actions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Animal Science, or related field.or more than 3 years of work in the field
  • HACCP certification (required).
  • Minimum 1–5 years of experience in quality control or food safety in a meat processing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of USDA regulations, HACCP, GMPs, and food safety standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality management systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SQF, BRC, or other GFSI scheme certification.
  • Experience with third-party audits and customer quality programs.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Construction Quality Control Manager (CQCM) is responsible for managing and performing the daily QC responsibilities of specific projects to ensure the project is constructed in accordance with the established minimum standards. The CQCM role includes direct oversight and review of the entire documentation and physical inspection phase of the work flow process and working with other in-house
personnel (e.g.: Project Managers, Project Coordinators etc.) and external personnel to produce and document a quality product. The CQCM reports directly to the Project Manager and the VP of Construction. This position will be based out of Baltimore, MD and we are currently working on projects across the U.S.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Minimum of 5-10 years construction experience on construction quality control
  • Have a thorough and complete knowledge and understanding of the contract, each subcontract and the plans and specifications in order to assist the Project Manager in development of the on- site procedures
  • Create, update and maintain the project submittal log and all other project specific quality control reports
  • Review shop drawings and submittals for conformance with project specifications by direct review and by leveraging the knowledge and experience of others in the project team when necessary
  • Chair and document weekly QC meetings with the superintendent and provide written minutes as described in project specific contract documents
  • Provide daily QC reports that reinforce activities that are being constructed in conformance with each specific project's established standard and constructively confronts non-conformances to produce the desired outcome in a timely manner
  • Conduct preparatory, initial and follow-up meetings to establish an understanding of the standards of care desired for each definable feature of work
  • Verify and document that all materials received for the project are in conformance with the approved submittal, are handled and stored appropriately and are acceptable for use in the project
  • Coordinate and document the testing and commissioning of building systems
  • Perform quality control testing and inspection in adherence with contract requirements and company best practices

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in the construction industry with a general contractor engaged in general building construction
  • Knowledge of a wide range of construction materials, methods, and techniques
  • Combination of high school diploma with QC experience and certifications will be considered
  • U.S. Army Corps of Engineers "Construction Quality Management for Contractors" Certification
  • Proficient with computer software used in the construction industry
  • OSHA 30-hour certification
  • Must have knowledge of EM 385
  • CPR/First Aid certification

Essential Job Functions:

  • Researches technical data and performs inspection of hangered aircraft in heavy maintenance checks, of flightline/storage induction or reactivation and back shop repair/overhaul maintenance activities in accordance with applicable aircraft/component maintenance manuals, FAA regulations and Ascent Aviation policies and procedures.
  • Enforces Quality Control standards for material receiving, shipping, storage, handling, repairs and overhaul to see that quality, allowable tolerances and other specifications and standards set by the Ascent Aviation and the applicable manufacturer are met.

Shift: D Shift Tues - Fri 4pm - 2:30am

Pay: $19-$20/hourly

Job Purpose: The Quality Inspector is responsible for conducting audits/inspections on inbound Customer deliveries as well as all other internal operational roles within the warehouse. The intent of the role is to identify gaps in compliance to our standards in an effort to promote maximum warehouse efficiencies and an elimination of inbound defects from our Customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs inspection on all inbound deliveries to ensure they are in compliance with RJW standards
  • Displays an ability to count and identify labels/markings that would validate accuracy
  • Maintains a standard of personal accuracy as Customers will be fined based on data inputs reported
  • Maintains confidentiality of Customer and Employee quality performance
  • Accurately inputs data to ensure inventory integrity
  • Completes necessary documentation (both written and electronic) thoroughly, accurately, and on-time
  • Other tasks as assigned by supervisor/manager

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ensures compliance to inventory processes and procedures, and contractual obligations.
  • Ability to physically count and validate inventory
  • Utilize computer terminal/scan gun accurately to document defects identified

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to communicate, read, write, and speak English.
  • Minimum 1-3 months related experience and/or training in warehouse environment (ideally inbound)
  • Experience using WMS software a plus (Synapse preferred).
  • PC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Access Database.
  • Education and/or Experience Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalency.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Further ability to apply and put that knowledge into action as inspections are performed.
  • Ability to read and write emails.
  • Ability to physically count articles or products on shelves, racks and pallets.
  • Forklift certification a plus.
  • Mathematical Skills:

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Reasoning Ability:

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to determine “root cause” of problem and determine corrective action.
  • Computer Skills:

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must have knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite for writing emails and interpreting and/or creating reports.
  • Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand; walk; stoop; kneel; crouch; or crawl.
  • Must be able to activate phone systems utilizing keyboards and buttons.
  • Must be articulate and comfortable speaking in front of others.
  • Regularly works in an indoor/office environment and required to sit and/or use repetitive hand motion.
  • Frequently required to talk, hear, stand and walk.
  • Must be able to work in excess of continuous 8 hours when required.
  • Must be able to work under stressful situations, have good cognitive skills, maintain work accuracy, and the ability to concentrate on more than one task at a time.
  • Must have the ability to read and discern visual images on a variety of media with 20/20 corrected vision.
  • Must be able to speak and communicate clearly over telephones.
  • Must be in sound physical health as determined by a certified licensed physician with no evidence of the use of controlled substances.
  • Work Environment:

  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment will range from quiet to moderately loud.
