Job Description

The Grocery Sales Associate / Market Associate stocks and displays products in the Housewares and Grocery departments and provides outstanding guest service. Reports to the Market Manager.

  • Stocks, rotates, merchandises and faces products according to department procedures
  • Ensures all grocery items are merchandised attractively as per quality standards
  • Rotates products according to First In First Out (FIFO) standards
  • Maintains and organizes back-stock and warehouse storage areas according to department standards
  • Adheres to all guidelines about product recommendations and information
  • Communicates department’s needs, adjustments and problems promptly and efficiently to manager
  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment in compliance with department, federal and state regulations
  • Performs light cleaning duties such as sweeping, dusting and packaging disposal as necessary
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned

Qualifications:
Qualifications

  • Positive attitude and ability to work well with a team
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous stocking experience in a retail setting preferred

Job Requirements

  • Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting
  • Ability to use a hand truck, cart, box cutter, ladder and cleaning supplies

Position at Saatva

Saatva is blazing a new trail in retail excellence. We are looking for dedicated Sleep Guides to join our nationwide network of state-of-the-art Viewing Rooms. Saatva Viewing Room Sleep Guides are the heartbeat of every brick-and-mortar retail location. They take pride in thrilling our guests by providing an immersive and elevated experience with our full range of mattresses. The Sleep Guide embodies Saatva luxury with a sophisticated level of service, expert knowledge of Saatva mattresses and bedding, and the desire to truly help others discover the power of a great night's sleep.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers and team members in person during scheduled shifts.
  • Clearly communicate product benefits, address customer inquiries, and effectively troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Maintain timely and regular attendance as a key performance expectation during all scheduled shifts.
  • Be available to work weekends and major retail holidays.

Experience and Skills Needed

  • Preferred Experience: 1-2 years of retail sales or customer service experience; however, we're willing to train the right candidate!
  • Additional Experience: 1 year of telecommunications or call center experience is preferred.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities to build rapport effortlessly with customers and team members.
  • A passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences.
  • Well-organized with excellent multitasking skills and a commitment to completing tasks with high-quality results.
  • Comfortable using personal computers and related software, with the ability to navigate multiple platforms simultaneously.
  • Positive attitude (we value and hire nice people!).

  • Deliver a world-class experience to our customers.
  • Become a product expert to confidently assist customers.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and resolve both basic and complex issues via phone, live chat, and in-person interactions on the showroom floor as needed.
