Amazon Web Services is looking for a security focused Engineer for the Controlled Working Environment (CWE) program. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Security Engineer (SE) to expand our Security Operating Center (SOC) and maintain security compliance in this working environment. The right candidate must thrive in high-pressure situations, think like both an attacker and defender, and drive relevant teams to take the right actions in the right time frames to mitigate risks.
We are looking for an individual with a deep understanding on how to balance business and technical risk that can effect the program. The candidate should be able to identify IT risks, define a mitigation plan to remediate, and consistently drive for the right results. They must have a passion for engineering novel solutions to complex security challenges, and recognize and fill gaps in capabilities. The ability to quickly design and build internal-facing tools that enable scaled programmatic automation is a plus.
The successful candidate will have a good mix of broad technical knowledge and a demonstrated background in information security. We value broad and deep technical knowledge, specifically in the fields of Windows forensics, Cloud security, security operations, incident response, network security, and emergent security intelligence.

- Strong expertise in architecting platforms that support Liquidity Risk Management (LRM) ensuring robust systems and compliance with financial regulations.
- Design and architect risk management platforms that align with our client's business objectives and technology roadmaps.
- Translate complex requirements into architectural blueprints, demonstrating a clear vision and understanding of client needs.
- Proficiency with databases (SQL, NoSQL) and data pipelines (ETL/ELT) for large datasets.
- Familiarity with risk functions in banking (e.g., operational risk, credit risk, market risk, liquidity risk).
- Understanding of key risk frameworks (Basel II/III/IV, IFRS, DORA) and regulatory requirements for risk platforms.
- Restful APIs, API-led design, Event Driven Architecture
- Cloud Architecture & Security – AWS (must have), Azure
- Ability to perform cybersecurity risk assessment (ISAR)

As the Network Security Administrator, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and managing the organization’s network infrastructure and security protocols. Your responsibilities will include monitoring network performance, safeguarding systems against evolving threats, and ensuring compliance with security policies and regulations.
In this position, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain secure network architectures, perform risk assessments, and respond effectively to security incidents, ensuring the integrity and resilience of the organization's IT environment.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of professional experience in systems, networking, and security roles.
- Experience in cybersecurity, including intrusion detection, endpoint management, data security, and network security.
- Proficiency in virtualization, systems, hardware, and automation tools (e.g., VMware, SolarWinds, SANs).
- Experience with scripting for patch deployment, including PowerShell.
- Strong knowledge of computer networks (e.g., subnetting, routing, DNS, DHCP) and Cisco Meraki architecture/firewalls.
- Experience setting up a network from scratch, handled VLANs, segregated traffic, and worked with firewall rules at a minimum.
- Ability to maintain and review system documentation for patch cycles and vulnerabilities.
- Familiarity with Microsoft software, operating systems, and various business applications.
