Schedule: Full-Time | Includes rotating on-call and weekend shifts

Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and skilled Technical Maintenance Specialist to join our Facilities team. This role ensures the safety, comfort, and reliability of our campus by performing preventative maintenance, repairs, and service calls with a focus on quality and resident satisfaction.
The technician will perform specialized technical maintenance including alarm systems, call light systems, and pool maintenance , in addition to general maintenance responsibilities across the campus.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventative maintenance across assigned areas of the campus.
Complete repairs to buildings, fixtures, furniture, appliances, HVAC systems, plumbing, and small electrical equipment (switches, outlets, etc.).
Service and maintain alarm systems, call light systems, and pool equipment.
Fulfill all maintenance work orders in a timely manner.
Monitor and assist with work performed by outside contractors.
Promptly alert the Maintenance Manager of unusual occurrences, damage, or safety concerns.
Provide after-hours on-call maintenance and weekend coverage as scheduled.
Maintain tools and equipment in clean, orderly, and safe condition.
Collaborate with fellow staff members using a team-oriented approach.
Always practice safety and follow Epworth Villa Safety Policies and Procedures, including accident, fire safety, and emergency response.
Assist with snow and ice removal as needed.
Qualifications
Background and hands-on experience with communication systems (alarm and call light systems required).
Previous maintenance or technical repair experience preferred.
Knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and carpentry.
Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Reliable, safety-minded, and customer-service oriented.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
What You’ll Do:
You’ll visit customers’ homes, solve problems, and introduce them to smart home tech.
- Install and service DISH equipment and smart home products in customers’ homes
- Teach customers how to use their tech and offer additional services when helpful
- Keep a clean work area and maintain a professional attitude while working independently but staying connected with the team

- Pay Increases: Automatic promotion after 6 months with a $1/hour raise. Additional promotions with 5–10% pay increases based on performance

Skills, Experience and Requirements
What You’ll Need:
- Valid Driver’s License : Clean record required
- Schedule Flexibility : Willingness to travel as needed; flexible to work shifts that might include evenings, weekends, or holidays
- Physical Ability :
- Climb ladders (up to 40 ft)
- Lift up to 70 lbs
- Must meet and maintain 335 lb weight limit
- Customer Focus : Build trust and create a great experience
- Problem-Solving : Tackle a variety of challenges on the spot
- Determination : Work in tight spaces and all kinds of weather
- Adaptability : Handle changes and unexpected tasks with ease
