• Regularly performs duties of professional nurse which includes assessing patients' condition, developing and administrating patient plan of care, documenting care administered, and evaluating patient care outcomes. Warmly welcomes patients to the unit. Promotes and maintains a safe, therapeutic milieu by providing appropriate supervision and feedback to the other direct care staff. • Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for labor and delivery and postpartum patients
• Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care
• Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care
• Communicate and collaborate with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care
• Positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience

• License: Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL required
• Education: Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing required; BSN strongly preferred
• Certification: BLS/ ACLS/PALS / NRP Certification for the Healthcare Provider required. (AHA)
• Experience: A minimum two years of recent acute care clinical experience in Labor and Delivery and postpartum experience required
• Unique or Preferred Skills: Labor and Delivery and postpartum experience required

Delegates appropriate patient care tasks to other staff. Functions as a team member to fulfill unit goals. • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Nursing

• Requires 1+ years' of RN experience in the emergency department unit
