Are you a licensed Speech Language Pathologist with a Master's Degree and a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)? If you are experienced assisting patients referred for speech/language to help restore function and prevent disability following a disease or injury, we want you to be part of our team! This position is part-time.


What You'll Do:

  • Perform appropriate assessments on each patient, observe and evaluate treatment effect and recommend changes or treatments to the physician, if needed.
  • Prepare reports related to appropriate activities, including performance improvements activities.
  • Complete appropriate documents for all treatments, assessments and evaluations performed for the inpatient and outpatient population.
  • Formulate a teaching plan based upon identified learning needs and evaluates effectiveness of learning, in which family is included in teaching when appropriate.
  • Develop and implement while keeping in close communication with the effective treatment programs in consultation with physicians. Treat patients in accordance with standards of care and practice.
  • Perform examinations such as swallowing accurately and communicates results timely to all appropriate members if the healthcare team.
  • Intercede for the patient when dietary revisions are necessary to prevent aspiration and consults with other departments as appropriate to collaborate in patient care and improvement activities.

Our SLP's work with a multi-disciplinary team including OT and P.T.'s in a 49-bed acute care hospital and 10-bed critical access hospital. We are currently looking for a SLP with diverse skills. Outpatient Pediatric experience is a top priority. We would support a motivated SLP that is a team player and is willing to learn on the job. We offer continuing education to all our therapists to ensure they are up to date and providing the best possible care. We do not have productivity requirements at SLV Health.   • Document care using Raintree EMR and maintain a manageable caseload

Requirements

What You'll Need:

For SLPs:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Active or eligible state SLP license
  • CCC-SLP or Clinical Fellowship (CF) status
  • Pediatric experience preferred, but not required
