What You'll Do:

The Clinical Support Technician fulfills the assigned role as part of the treatment team – to maintain the wellbeing of clients and the integrity of the program. Additionally, the Clinical Support Technician provides client supervision and staff/unit support as assigned. This position reports to the Director of Operations.

Major Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities:

Client Interaction & Support:

  • Develop and maintain professional, supportive relationships with clients and staff.
  • Provide emotional support, encouragement, and guidance to clients and their families.
  • Support clients' comfort and safety in the residential environment.
  • Listen attentively, document client behavior, and report observations to clinical staff.
  • Maintain strict client confidentiality at all times.

Clinical & Administrative Tasks:

  • Collect and supervise urine analysis (U/A) testing, ensuring proper reporting, documentation in the EMR, and disposal of samples.
  • Observe self-administration of medication and document thoroughly.
  • Document all medications in the hardcopy Centrally Stored Medication Log and the EMR.
  • Complete intake assessments and consents with clients.
  • Conduct patient rounds every 30 minutes.
  • Complete vital signs (blood pressure, oxygen saturation, temperature, pulse, respiration). 
  • Complete contraband searches and random room searches.

Group & Activity Facilitation:

  • Facilitate groups, outings, and educational sessions.
  • Transport clients to meetings and appointments.

Team Collaboration & Communication:

  • Provide crisis intervention and promote a healthy residential and working environment.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations and ethical standards.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions as needed.

What You'll Bring:

Skills, Knowledge and Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of the philosophy and approach of the 12-step model of recovery (AA, CA, NA, Alanon). 
  • Fully understands and maintains policies regarding professional ethics, including appropriate boundaries and patient confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Basic knowledge of referrals, both in and out of the organization.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with co-workers, clinical staff, and administration to deliver high-quality care.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational and time-management skills.

Qualifications:

  • Current and valid certification as a SUDRC (Substance Use Disorder Registered Counselor) or RADTI (Registered Alcohol and Drug Technician).
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a clinical or healthcare setting preferred.
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification. 
  • Successful completion of Pre-Employment Requirements including, a criminal background clearance, drug testing, and health screening, is mandatory prior to employment.

The Clinical Support Therapist is responsible for facilitating psychoeducational groups to adults struggling with substance use and/or co-occurring disorders; completing BPS assessments; and providing individual, couple, and/or family sessions as needed for coverage. The Clinical Support Therapist will keep Clinical Director and Case Managers informed on any issues/problems with any client and perform all documentation in accord with state licensing requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  •  The Clinical Support Therapist follows clients' progress throughout treatment processes.
  • Responsible for conducting therapy groups weekly at multiple levels of care ranging from Residential, Detox, PHP & IOP.
  • Documents progress notes in client files following each individual session.
  • Maintains contact with Clinical Director and Medical Director regarding individuals' progress as needed.
  • Responsible reading notes from weekly clinical staff meetings.
  • Knowledge of policy and procedure manual relating to program protocol.
  • Facilitator performs and maintains professional abilities in interactions with clients.
  • Maintain and adhere to all Federal, State, and County regulations regarding client confidentiality and staff code of ethics.
  • Crisis intervention—recognizing emotional stress and utilizing resources to resolve problems.
  • Client education—provide current alcohol/drug information and available resources to clients, groups, and families.
  • Provide coverage as needed for clinical team.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in a behavioral health field.
  • Clinical Licensure is preferred.
  • Preferred previous experience in the addiction field.
  • Ability to prioritize and provide appropriate treatment protocols.

Exciting Opportunity with Banyan Treatment Centers!

We’re seeking a dedicated Clinical Support Staff to join our clinical team and help drive exceptional care. In this role, you will guide patients through engaging group sessions, biopsychosocial assessments, and provide assistance to primary therapists. ensuring the highest standards of patient care, regulatory compliance, and fostering the growth of a dynamic team. Your expertise will be instrumental in supporting life-changing outcomes for individuals overcoming addiction and mental health adversities.

Position Details:
  • Reports to: Clinical Director
  • Schedule : Full-time
  • Location : Castle Rock, CO (On-site)
  • Compensation: $22 - $30 hourly depending on experience, education and clinical credentials (licensure).
  • Application Deadline: October 1st, 2025

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate effectively in multidisciplinary treatment plan reviews, demonstrating adequate preparation and understanding of patient issues, progress, areas of resistance, positive and negative strategies, etc.
  • Completes baseline clinical assessments, biopsychosocial.
  • Conducts groups.
  • Assist Therapist and Case Manager as needed.
  • Complete clinical documentation in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for covering client caseload in absence of primary Therapists.
  • Assists Therapist in familial communication and documentation.
  • Assists client in managing outside stressors.
  • Maintains clinical records according to program policies and those of licensing and accrediting agencies.
  • Assists Therapist and Case Manger with discharge planning.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or a related Human Services field.
  • Adherence to the Healthcare Code of Ethics
  • Familiarity with Joint Commission Standards.
  • Knowledge of State and Federal confidentiality regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Social Work or a related Human Services field.
  • CAS, LAC, MFTC, LPCC or LSW in the State of Colorado.
  • Work experience in the field of behavioral/mental health, preferred but not required.
