POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a strategic and experienced Executive Director of Digital Products to envision and lead the execution of our digital platform strategy—someone with the vision, entrepreneurial drive, storytelling talent, and leadership to elevate visibility, fuel growth, and position our digital products for maximum impact. This full-time hybrid role, with in-office presence required from Tuesday to Thursday, is responsible for managing West Health digital strategy, content calendar, and resolving ecosystem misalignments while ensuring editorial excellence.
Our two digital platforms include 1) Mosaic: A new digital platform offering advanced research capabilities, data visualizations, and key insights and analyses on the impact of healthcare costs, practices, and policies on aging in America, and 2) The Center on Healthcare in America: A platform (under development) to be the leading voice and trusted source for Americans’ experiences with healthcare via reliable data and compelling storytelling.
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategic Leadership:
- Lead the development, implementation, and optimization of West Health’s various platforms, aligning them with the organization’s goals and vision.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure digital initiatives are integrated into the overall healthcare strategy, especially regarding aging and healthcare data.
- Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships that expand the reach, visibility, and impact of our digital platforms.
- Manage Executive Steering Committee and Editorial Committee
- Stakeholder and Partner Engagement:
- A key responsibility of this role will be to foster relationships with external partners, including media outlets, healthcare organizations, and other key stakeholders, to expand the reach and impact of West Health.
- Represent West Health in digital strategy discussions and forums related to healthcare and aging
- Content and Product Management:
- Oversee the management and curation of content across all platforms, ensuring its relevance, accuracy, and engagement with target audiences, including journalists, researchers, and healthcare professionals.
- Guide the creation of data-driven features, articles, and resources that promote public education on aging, healthcare policy, and health outcomes.
- Provide marketing direction for all West Health’s platforms.
- User Experience (UX) and Design Oversight:
- Direct the design and continuous improvement of user experience on West Health’s various sites, ensuring it’s intuitive, accessible, and optimized for a diverse range of users.
- Data and Analytics:
- Lead and manage multiple datacentric projects, including data collection, analysis, visualization, and dissemination, ensuring high standards of quality and usability.
- Oversee the integration of advanced analytics and data tools to track user engagement and site performance, providing actionable insights to refine strategies.
- Collaborate with product teams to ensure that analytics processes align with user experience goals and content effectiveness.
- Team Management and Cross-functional Collaboration:

- Performance Metrics:

- Trends & Innovation:

- MBA or equivalent degree with strategic responsibility to advance and grow business lines/initiatives/projects
- 10+ years of experience in content creation, strategy, editorial leadership, or a related role, preferably in healthcare or policy sectors.
- Proven experience managing and overseeing data-driven products, with a strong understanding of data product development, data visualization, and storytelling in a digital context.
- Strong understanding of healthcare, aging, and policy issues, with the ability to translate data-driven insights and complex topics into accessible content.

Were hiring a Head of Marketing & Creative Strategy to work directly with our founder and lead the full 360 marketing ecosystem: brand, content, ecommerce, community, influencer, PR, and product alignment. Youll bring both the eye and the engine: a visionary who understands aesthetic storytelling, but who also thrives on building strategy, driving performance, and optimizing execution across all marketing channels.
Youll take the creative vision our founder has built over the last decade and scale it through structured marketing, performance insights, community engagement, and next-level execution. This is a brand-led, data-backed, community-driven leadership role and youre not afraid to get your hands dirty.
WHAT YOULL OWN
Marketing Strategy & Performance
- Own the full marketing calendar and campaign engine across email (Klaviyo), SMS (Attentive), paid, social, on-site, influencer, and PR.
- Use data from GA4, Shopify, and channel tools to build strategies that convert while protecting the brand aesthetic.
- Lead lifecycle strategy in partnership with ecomm + retention teams to increase LTV, repeat rate, and product velocity.
- Guide landing page, PDP, and funnel strategies alongside ecommerce team to ensure creative is optimized for conversion.
Creative Direction & Brand Cohesion
- Translate the founders vision into executable campaigns that perform both visually and emotionally.
- Own campaign ideation, briefs, photoshoot direction, final asset approval, and creative QA across all platforms.
- Work directly with designers and copywriters to produce polished, high-converting, and on-brand marketing assets.
- Build and protect brand systems and visual consistency across all consumer touchpoints digital, physical, and community.
Community Building & Organic Growth
- Develop marketing initiatives that drive real community connection surprise & delight moments, IRL activations, group chat-worthy content, and loyalty-driving programs.
- Be a voice for the 12th Tribe girl what shes wearing, where shes going, how she speaks, what gets her attention.
- Lead organic campaigns and storytelling strategies that grow brand love without paid spend.
- Identify brand-right ways to build relationships through DMs, micro-moments, pop-ups, gifting, and experiential events.
Influencer, PR & Events
- Oversee influencer and gifting strategy ensuring selects, messaging, and ROI are on point.
- Manage external PR and influencer agencies, aligning on brand voice, product moments, and revenue-driving campaigns.
- Lead all retail and community event strategies from Aspen to Miami to the bachelorette suite.
- Distribute campaign revenue goals and calendar to external partners giving clear direction and holding them accountable.
Product & Cross-Functional Alignment
- Act as a connective tissue between product, marketing, and ecommerce aligning on drops, reorders, creative timelines, and merchandising opportunities.
- Translate marketing feedback and customer insights into product assortment recommendations.
- Partner with planning to help guide where we invest creatively and financially based on trends and performance.
Leadership & Execution
- Be a hands-on leader to brand, content, and social team members mentoring, refining, and guiding daily output.
- Step in where junior team members need support; be both strategic lead and executional support.
- Structure creative review cadences with Demi, design, and performance teams to keep velocity high and feedback sharp.

The Director, Creative Strategy for Advancement Marketing Services (AMS) will lead the ongoing evolution of AMS’s omni-channel marketing programs for fundraising—enhancing existing campaigns and developing new strategies that drive performance, partner retention, and business growth. This individual will apply deep expertise in marketing and higher education advancement, combined with data-driven insights, to continuously innovate AMS offerings across direct mail, email, and digital platforms.
The role is responsible for the management and leadership of the creative teams, improving marketing effectiveness, leveraging generative AI solutions, and strengthening EAB’s position in the market as a provider of customized, high-impact marketing solutions for fundraising. EAB managers are also responsible for driving accountability, productivity, and efficiency in a high-volume environment.
In addition to internal leadership and product responsibilities, this role is externally facing—representing AMS in client engagements, industry events, and public forums. The Director will gather and share market intelligence to inform strategy, promote AMS’s capabilities, and support long-term innovation.
This position reports to EAB’s Managing Director of Strategy and Analytics, and is a key member of the AMS leadership team. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative leader with a strong understanding of advancement marketing, a track record of successful campaign execution, and the ability to drive creative quality, innovation, and strategic growth.
This role may be based in Richmond, VA; Washington, D.C.; or remotely within the continental United States.
Manage and Lead Creative Teams and Content Development
- Partner with Managing Director to lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of copywriters, art directors, and digital marketers working in fundraising.
- Foster a culture of excellence, transparency, collaboration, and open communication.
- Ensure creative content development occurs on-time and error free.
Optimize and Innovate Existing Marketing Campaigns
- Collaborate with Partner Success, Partner Development, and Analytics teams to refine and improve existing campaigns across direct mail, email, and digital channels.
- Leverage partner feedback, market insights, generative AI, and performance data to drive campaign innovation and better align messaging with audience needs.
- Ensure campaigns tell a compelling, cohesive story that showcases AMS’s unique omni-channel capabilities and delivers measurable partner outcomes.
Lead Development of New Campaign Strategies
- Design and implement new marketing programs informed by industry trends, data, and partner objectives.
- Work cross-functionally to bring campaigns to life across multiple platforms, ensuring they are aligned with EAB’s broader advancement goals and brand positioning.
- Promote scalability and customization to meet a diverse range of client needs.
Strategic Client Engagement and Support
- Work closely with the AMS leadership and client services teams to translate client goals into actionable marketing plans.
- Ensure creative teams are aligned and campaigns are executed effectively, with defined milestones and success metrics.
Thought Leadership and Industry Presence
- Represent AMS at conferences, webinars, and trade shows as a subject matter expert and brand ambassador.
- Collaborate with the corporate marketing team to develop and deliver thought leadership content, including presentations, webinars, and articles.
- Support high-profile partnerships and initiatives, such as expert councils or New Executive Intensives.
Market and Competitive Insight
- Monitor advancement marketing trends, competitor offerings, and innovations in adjacent industries.
- Maintain a deep understanding of the marketing and fundraising landscape in higher education to inform AMS product strategy and positioning.
- Provide actionable insights that enhance AMS’s competitive advantage.
Basic Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in marketing, advancement, fundraising, or a related field with a minimum of 3 years’ experience managing and leading cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, client-driven environment
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing direct mail, email, and digital marketing campaigns
- Strong understanding of higher education advancement, including annual giving and fundraising operations
- Familiarity with AI tools and applications in marketing strategy
- Experience using marketing analytics to guide decision-making and drive program improvements
- Exceptional interpersonal, written, and presentation communication skills
- Agile, adaptable, and comfortable navigating a dynamic marketing and technology landscape
Ideal Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in a related field
- Leadership experience within national or regional advancement organizations
- Strong grasp of the current digital advertising landscape, including technical knowledge of paid social platforms and campaign performance tracking
- Demonstrated use of AI tools to support innovation in marketing strategy and effective personalization of multi-channel campaigns

Compensation:
The anticipated starting salary (base) range for this role is $105,000 - $127,500 per year. Actual salary varies due to factors that may include but not be limited to relevant experience, skills, and location. At EAB, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the starting salary range for their role.
This hire will additionally be eligible for discretionary bonus or incentive compensation. Variable compensation may depend on various factors, such as individual and organizational performance.
