Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to install, troubleshoot, adjust, and repair production equipment and electrical components. The role involves ensuring that all machinery operates efficiently and safely within the manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Install power supply wiring and conduit for new machines and equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and determine how to correct them.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure production machines perform at an optimal level.
- Operate Computerized Maintenance Management System.
- Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions, following checklists.
- Replace faulty parts, electrical wires, motors, controls, and circuit boards.
- Dismantle equipment to gain access and remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools.
- Lubricate and clean parts and equipment to ensure proper operation.
- Review and comprehend blueprints, schematics, repair manuals, and parts catalog.
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools to repair, grease, weld, cut, change parts, and complete tasks as assigned.
- Execute daily and business fundamentals.

Work Environment

TRC Talent is Hiring an Electrical Maintenance Technician
Position Summary:
The Electrical/Instrumentation Maintenance Technician is a key member of the Utility Team, responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of electrical and instrumentation systems within the solar panel manufacturing facility. This role involves conducting routine inspections, performing preventive maintenance, and promptly addressing issues to maintain continuous operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct routine and preventive maintenance on electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and emergency power systems.
Maintain and service instrumentation systems, such as utility process instruments and measurement devices used for control and monitoring.
Oversee electrical and instrumentation components within utility facilities, including process water systems (UPW, PCW, CHW, CW), compressed air (CDA), exhaust blowers, HVAC systems, and gas/chemical systems.
Disassemble, repair, or replace electrical and instrumentation equipment using appropriate tools (e.g., chain falls, hand tools, jacks) and reassemble parts post-repair.
Perform cleaning and upkeep of electrical and instrumentation equipment to ensure peak performance.
Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctioning components, identifying defective parts and recommending repairs or replacements.
Compile and maintain accurate records of equipment performance and testing, including fire suppression systems.
Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential issues, proactively addressing concerns and communicating effectively across a multilingual team.
Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
Respond promptly to emergency situations involving environmental failures, power interruptions, water system issues, fires, or security concerns.
Collaborate with various levels of personnel, including operations staff, supervisors, engineers, and external inspectors or contractors.
Regularly report work progress and issues to the Electrical Facilities Engineer Supervisor.
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated expertise in electrical/electronic systems and instrumentation maintenance.
Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving complex electrical and instrumentation problems.
Relevant certifications in electrical maintenance or instrumentation preferred.
Comprehensive knowledge of environmental, health, and safety regulations.
Experience ensuring compliance with industry and regulatory standards.
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with all organizational levels.
