SUMMARY
The Clinical Therapist serves as a clinician to families with children and unaccompanied men and women. The Clinical Therapist is responsible for providing high quality trauma informed, two generational counseling services utilizing a battery of evidence-based clinical modalities, including but not limited to: Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, etc. This person should be an active church member.
RESPONSIBILITIES
To develop treatment plans that are trauma-informed and systemic, utilizing Intensive Family Therapy (IFT) and Solution Focused therapy models that directly address the root cause of poverty, and promote emotional well-being and stability for adults and children, the Clinical Therapist will:
- Demonstrate deep understanding of trauma and the impact on clients. Provide culturally responsive, strength based, clinical counseling services within the framework of a trauma-informed, systemic approach.
- Conduct ongoing need assessments and coordinate clinical services with external agencies as determined appropriate.
- Collaborate with clients to complete and update individualized treatment and safety plans. Monitor for progress and update as deemed necessary.
- Participate in staffing meetings, team meetings, cross collaboration meetings. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings (MDT) designed to determine program admission; monitor tor progress; assess for discharge readiness and appropriateness of involuntary discharge; and identify areas of continued need and make mental health focused interventions recommendations.
- Proactively engage clients in trauma informed treatment services promoting enhanced attachment, decreased symptoms, and improved safety.
- Maintaining open and transparent communication with the Director of Clinical Counseling Services or next level of authority.
- Promote and support cross collaboration with internal and external programs and services to ensure clients are referred and linked to need driven supportive services.
- Participate in trauma focused clinical consultation and individual and group supervision. Facilitate psychoeducation groups for adults and child clients.
- Participate as a member of the UGM's Crisis team. Provide appropriate and timely crisis intervention. Support management of safety risks and/or mental health emergencies and occurrences.
- Meet with individuals, families, and/or groups as needed.
Experience & Education
- A Master's degree from an accredited university or college with a major in Marriage and Family Therapy, social work, counseling, or psychology (etc.);
- AND one of the following clinical licensures: LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or LMFT-A licensure with at least 3 years of experience providing clinical counseling to adults and/or children.
- Eligible candidates must either be fully licensed OR actively under supervision with more than 50% of their hours completed.
Preferred:
- Trained in Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) and prior education and utilization of an attachment-based, trauma-informed approach, at least 5+ years' experience in child welfare, preferred.
- Experience working with family systems.
Salary: The salary range starts at $65,000 and increases based upon experience.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND HOURS
Primarily office conditions, however, local travel is required. Some work in storage areas. General working hours. Flexible scheduling may be required. Some additional evening, early morning and weekend work may be required with this position. Flexible hours will be determined in consultation with the Director of Clinical Counseling Services.

Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) provides direct behavioral health services to patients admitted to National Psychiatric Care and Rehabilitation Services and is responsible for treating, counseling and educating clients based upon their individualized emotional and psychological needs.
General Accountabilities
- Under the direction of the Program Director and Lead MFT, the AMFT will evaluate potential clients to assess whether they will fit program criteria for admission.
- AMFT will receive Clinical Supervision by Licensed Provider(s) at the ratio of one hour individual or two hours group supervision for every 10 hours of clinical experience gained.
- AMFT is responsible for tracking clinical experience hours utilizing appropriate BBS tracking forms and obtaining weekly signatures from Clinical Supervisor(s).
- Provides therapy for facility residents and their families.
- Works in conjunction with other staff to meet individual and family needs.
- Secures and documents informed consent from all participants.
- Develops and documents goals for each resident and documents all progress made toward completion of goals.
- Document information concerning family therapy sessions, phone calls, e-mail, voicemail, etc. as appropriate, explaining all contact as necessary.
- Complete a case closure summary when services are terminated, including information on documented hours of service, identified problems, resident progress, and recommendations regarding further treatment.
- Makes community referrals as appropriate and works with other staff to facilitate any necessary follow-up regarding resident needs.
- Participates in case staffing and staff meetings as requested.
- Participates in staff trainings as requested.
- Participates in regularly scheduled performance evaluations.

- Licenses and Certifications: Valid Registration with the Board of Behavioral Sciences of California as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT)

POSITION SUMMARY
The Family Therapist provides specialized therapy services to support families/social support impacted by substance use disorders (SUD). This role focuses on strengthening family systems, improving communication, and fostering engagement in the recovery process. The therapist facilitates a structured two-day family program, involving educational workshops, multi-family therapy sessions, individual family counseling, and collaborative treatment planning. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Family Services
- Participate in Meet & Greets with the social support escorting patients to treatment upon admission, providing them with guidance related to their loved one’s care and answering any questions that they may have.
- Provide virtual family coaching sessions to offer individualized support and guidance on navigating the recovery process.
- Assist in virtual family workshops and information sessions to ensure ongoing engagement and education for families.
- Facilitate lectures and group therapy sessions within the patient community.
Family Program Facilitation
