POSITION SUMMARY
The Emerging Adults Mental Health Professional will be involved in working with all disciplines to attain effectiveness in serving the patient population with a focus on providing treatment for incarcerated individuals in the Emerging Adults program as they grow toward the responsibilities and possibilities of adulthood. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Performs structured intake behavioral health assessments to evaluate mental health status, risk factors, substance use history, and psychosocial needs, as appropriate.

• Participates in the development of provisional diagnostic assessments and treatment recommendations in alignment with diagnostic criteria and correctional behavioral health standards.

• Assists in planning and implementing the goals and objectives of programs and projects.
• May direct special projects as requested.
• Participates in and conducts in-service programs, as well as assists in the orientation of new staff.

• Maintain proficiency with all software required for the position, and more specifically, clinical documentation in the designated electronic health record system.
