The successful candidate will be responsible for commissioning and service maintenance work on existing and new plants. The engineer will be working on a multitude of systems including the following technologies: Filtration, Ion Exchange, UV, Reverse Osmosis (RO), EDI, Ozone, WFI and Pure Steam. The engineer will be required to interface with end users and customers. Candidate must have excellent communication skills and ability to resolve issues on the spot. Most importantly the candidate must enjoy the satisfaction of maintaining equipment and take pride in their work.

Job Functions:

· Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on water treatment equipment including electro-mechanical
repairs along with replacements of parts.

· Troubleshoot issues remotely over the phone and at the customer's site for both electrical and mechanical questions

· Commission new systems at customer sites including completing detailed commissioning documentation and reporting.

· Provide training of site personnel in the operation and maintenance of the equipment

· Maintain internal documentation and submit external reports to customers

· Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering professional and pro-active service at all times

Qualifications:

· Preferred Vocational or Associate’s Degree; related experience considered.

· 3-5 years’ experience in working with electro-mechanical equipment including pumps, valves, motors etc.

· Experience with electrical / control panels, I/O, PLC’s and automation of plants including tuning control loops and programming of instrumentation

· Must have the ability to read and interpret basic electrical and mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and the ability to discuss

· Water treatment industry experience is strongly preferred, but not essential as training will be provided for the right candidate

· Proven ability to work remotely, independently without supervision and be customer-facing

· Proficiency in computers and Windows software

· Must enjoy providing customer satisfaction through a pro-active and committed response to customers

· Must be willing to travel regionally and occasionally throughout North America

· Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record

· Ability to work flexible hours, sometimes outside “normal business hours” and travel as required on short notice

The job with OST Services (a subsidiary of LISEGA, Inc.) involves the Field Service Engineer ideally having five plus years of experience with pipe supports, restraints and snubbers. The work will be performed at non-nuclear and nuclear electrical generating facilities, waste treatment plants, paper mills, Petro-Chemical plants etc. located throughout North America along with some limited international travel. Depending on the workload and the individual’s interest the position could also be seasonable (part-time) but is intended for full-time employment. This job has fully paid travel expenses, per diem and work at clean power plants located throughout North America. You will travel a lot in this job and your pay rate will depend on your experience level and is targeted between $50 and $60 per hour plus per diem when traveling.

The individual should be capable of some, or all, of the following;
• Evaluate piping/support systems.
• Prepare technical reports detailing inspection results, subsequent recommendations and conclusions.
• Supervise adjustments, installation and repair of the above as required.
• Familiar with the application and design of pipe supports.
• Perform limited activities to generate and maintain customers.
• Order and expedite materials, interface with manufacturing facilities, customer correspondence to ensure that delivery and contract commitments are met.
• Development and implementation of design and fabrication procedures.
• Guide and/or perform hydraulic snubber testing and rebuilding.

  • Extend support to additional platforms, including Hamilton Liquid Handlers and Becton Dickinson Flow Cytometry systems.


Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong expertise in LC-MS and GC-MS systems, including hardware troubleshooting, maintenance, and software configuration.
  • Ability to diagnose complex failures and implement effective solutions quickly.
  • Familiarity with chromatography data systems (CDS) and mass spectrometry software.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with a focus on compliance, accuracy, and documentation.
  • Ability to work independently in client environments while maintaining a professional, service-oriented approach.


Experience & Education
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Analytical Chemistry, Engineering, Instrumentation, Biomedical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience servicing or supporting LC-MS/GC-MS instrumentation in biotech, pharma, chemical, or environmental industries.
  • Hands-on experience with systems from SCIEX, Agilent, Thermo Fisher, Waters, Shimadzu, Bruker, and PerkinElmer (highly preferred).
  • Experience with Hamilton Liquid Handlers and BD Flow Cytometry systems preferred.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards (GLP/GMP, ISO, FDA) is a plus.
  • Proficiency with PC operating systems (Windows XP/7/10) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 25% overnight.

Primary Skills: Engineering

Role Description: The Field Service Engineer must have 4+ years of experience.

Expectations:

- Willing to travel regionally and occasionally throughout North America.

- Provide troubleshooting support over the phone for customers and third party service providers.

- Maintain meticulous records of field service issues and enter them into the service database.

- Provide after-hours technical support via company cell phone, on a rotating basis, to the global customer base.

- Administer the RMA process and report to customers on status

- Prepare and maintain technical documentation library.

- Actively provide design input and customer feedback to the quality, manufacturing and design teams.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Trade School Certification in HVAC/R Field and/or Electronic Technology.

- EPA Universal Certificate

- 5+ years of field service experience

- 3+ years of working with project teams, contractors and interfacing with customers

- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of electro-mechanical systems and Cooling Distribution Units (CDU)

- Ability to understand customer specifications and applications to drive customer solutions

- Must have strong hands-on mechanical and electrical skills and demonstrated ability to trouble shoot failure in equipment an sub-systems.

- Must be self-motivated, a team player capable of multi-tasking

- Must have experience with Liquid Cooling technologies

- Knowledge of PLC function & interfacing (RS485, ethernet. etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical field
