The Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Analyst is responsible for supporting management in analyzing and understanding the various business operations of Homes by WestBay and Casa Fresca Homes
Responsibilities:
- Assists in the development of budgets, forecasts, and long-term business projections.
- Translates data into actionable insights and presents findings clearly to stakeholders.
- Assists with Financial Statement compilation.
- Creates variance analysis reports and financial models.
- Completes market research and comparable company analysis (i.e. Benchmarking).
- Presents detailed weekly and monthly financial reports to Management.
- Prepares presentation decks for various management needs.
- Provides support to management during engagements with financial partners.
- Develop new analyses and reports to support strategic decision-making.
- Identifies and implements process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Researches and clarifies issues as necessary.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements:
- Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting
- Experience: 0–2 years of relevant experience through internships or part-time roles.
- CPA preferred but not required.
- Strong familiarity with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, and lookup functions.
- Solid understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- High financial/business acumen and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills; able to partner with cross-functional teams
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines
- Credit Verification to ensure employee is fiscally responsible.
Additional Requirements
- This is an on-site position based in the Tampa Bay area and will require relocation if you are not currently located in the area. While the role is primarily in-person, there may be limited access to remote work at the discretion of management and based on business needs.
- This is an exempt role, which may require working more than eight hours per day.

Principal Associate, Financial Analysis (Hybrid)
We are looking for a customer focused, inquisitive Principal Financial Analyst to join Discover Global Payments Network (GPN) Finance and support the Payments organization. You will support multiple business leaders and influence decisions for the Networks platforms, capabilities, operations, modernization initiatives, and acceptance strategies, Tech executives and influence business decisions for enterprise payments platforms, while maintaining a sustainable financial trajectory.
Financial Analysts prepare financial statement forecasts, assist with the periodic closing of accounting books, and frequently build reports for higher level associates; including trend and forecast variance analysis; provide management and business clients with project statuses; budget comparisons, and analysis on investment drivers and key performance indicators. You will be asked to challenge our current well-managed processes to be more proactive, effective, and efficient, and you will be encouraged to find new ways to tell stories, analyze trends, and diagnose results in a compelling and visual nature.
Responsibilities:
Develop the Annual Budget, Monthly Financial Forecast and the Long-Term Financial Plan
Develop financial models and analyses to support growth of the business and strategic initiatives Develop profitability analyses and projections for marketing and customer segments; develop and enhance financial models; improve forecasting accuracy and drive business insights
Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including areas of revenue, expenses and capital expenditures
Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance
Analyze complex financial information and reports to support accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual Reporting and Analysis
Identify industry trends and insights pertaining to competitors strategies and/or relative financial performance (e.g. peer benchmarking) Analyze customer behaviors and product profitability trends to understand financial behaviors
Perform ad hoc analysis using data retrievals from internal financial systems and external market databases and package insights into clear and concise presentations
Provide strategic advice and financial analyses for investment decisions, pricing changes, and channel and segment expansions
Implement and work with Business Intelligence Tools and Dashboard reports
Travel Expectations:
The associate will be expected to travel an average of 10-15% of the time.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree or military experience
At least 4 years of experience in financial analysis
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA), Accounting, Finance, or Economics
Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) license or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
At least 5 years of experience in financial analysis and financial modeling
At least 3 years of experience using SQL, Python, or a combination
At least 3 years of experience in financial services, banking or technology industries
At least 3 years of experience partnering with senior leaders and internal stakeholders

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Chicago, IL: $106,700 - $21,700 for Principal Financial Analyst
