ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Perform scheduled preventive maintenance.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
· Able to acquire job skills and learn company policies and procedures to complete routine tasks.
· Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
· Use of basic and special purpose hand tools and leveling instruments. Knowledge of torque specifications.
· Basic mathematics.
· Understanding of electronic color codes and other component value markings.
· Understanding of safety practices requirements.
· Personal computer operation in a Windows environment (Excel, Word and PowerPoint and e-mail).

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Overview
Must have basic knowledge of General Maintenance, Hydraulic Systems, Electrical and Electronic Systems, and Welding (TIG,MIG). - Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment.
- Installs, programs, troubleshoot, or repairs automated machinery and equipment such as programmable controllers.

The Maintenance Manager oversees the day-to-day functions of mechanics, bus washers, utility workers and administrative staff members. Maintenance facilities typically operate on a three-shift basis to ensure that maintenance on equipment is completed; testes and inspections of products, services and process to evaluate quality or performance of that equipment is accomplished; and specifications are met to DOT, client or company standards. This position is based at our Grayslake, IL contract.

The Maintenance Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of mechanics, bus washers, utility workers, and administrative staff. Maintenance facilities typically operate on a three-shift basis to ensure that maintenance on equipment is completed, tests and inspections of products, services, and processes are conducted to evaluate the quality or performance of that equipment, and specifications are met to DOT, client, or company standards. This position is based in Tulare, CA.
Transdev is proud to offer:
- Competitive compensation package of minimum $95,000 – maximum $125,000
Benefits include:
- Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeks

Key Responsibilities:
- Hire, train, and schedule Maintenance Technicians
- Approve the priority of maintenance and repairs based on the availability of materials and parts and the requirements of scheduled operations
- Coordinate and oversee work performed by outside vendors
- Ensure company and client equipment is maintained and operating efficiently
- Manage inventory
- Implement safety policies and procedures for the department per corporate requirements
- Participate in the development and administration of the operational budget
- Identify opportunities for improving service delivery methods
- Other duties as required.
- Travel requirement outside of immediate area (as a percent):<10%
Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Valid CDL Class B (or higher) with passenger and airbrake endorsements preferred
- 7 years+ experience in the repair and maintenance of all types of heavy-duty automotive and transit equipment
- 3 years+ of supervisory experience
- A broad understanding of all mechanical systems related to heavy-duty transportation vehicles
- Familiarity with laws & regulations associated with the safe operation of maintenance facilities
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Available to work shifts and flexible work schedules as needed.
- Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical, if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
- The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.

As a Second (2nd) Shift Maintenance Technician Lead, you will perform the maintenance of large production machinery while maintaining records of repairs, and guide and train shift techs on efficient and correct fixes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines
- Assists with the planning and preparation of training for maintenance associates
- Work with Maintenance Manager and Supervisor to plan work priorities, obtain necessary supplies, and assess skills needed to complete tasks
- Prioritize tasks as they come up throughout the shift
- Thoroughly cleans machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary
- Oils and lubricates moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance
