Job Summary:

The Lead Medical Coordinator (LMC) is responsible for guiding and ensuring the quality of medical services, treatment, and/or interventions provided to Unaccompanied Children (UC) in the program in collaboration with the contracted physicians. Lead Medical Coordinator is the key monitor of patients' health through observing and assessing their records, symptoms, and reactions to treatment and care. Essential Functions:

• Attend all departmental and program meetings to ensure that up-to-date information is received and/or provided and to ensure that changes to policy or practice are implemented and adhered to.
• Participate in the selection, onboarding, and training process for medical services staff and the development of on-the-job training for medical staff as needed.
• Oversee youth evacuations during inclement weather or unforeseen occurrences, and maintain a safe, clean, and hazard-free work environment.
• Other duties, tasks which may be assigned by an appropriate supervisor or manager.

Responsibilities  

• Manage internal casework and evaluate nursing talent development. 

• Perform “Start of Care Assessments” and “Re-evaluations” to transition patients from facilities to home care. 

• Review physicians’ orders and update care plans and documentation as needed. 

• Assist in interviewing, selecting, training, and validating new clinical staff. 

• Enhance the clinical expertise of field staff to ensure safe, high-quality nursing care. 

• Collaborate with the operations and business development team. 

• Ensure compliance with State, Federal, Local, and Aveanna policies and procedures. 

Qualifications  

• Current, good-standing RN license in the state of practice. 

• At least 1 year of hands-on nursing experience. 

• Ability to travel to patients’ homes within the designated territory. 

• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and ability to pass MVR check. 

• Current CPR certification (AHA or ARC). 

• Willingness to supervise nurses providing in-home skilled nursing care to infants, children, adolescents, and adults.

Position Details  

• Compensation: $5,000+ base salary + quarterly bonuses + paid rotating on-call. SIGN ON BONUS 5,000.00

• Schedule: In Office Monday–Friday, daytime hours; full-time with on-call rotations. 

• Location: San Antonio, TX, in-home visits
