Position Description: GTMR has an opening for a United States Government (USG) Security and Facility Manager (S&FM). Position is responsible for the Security Education, Training, and Awareness (SETA) Program, physical security, occupancy management, and maintenance of a USG building aboard Naval Air Station (NAS) Patuxent River, MD.
- S&FM handles the day-to-day security requirements for the building with emphasis on SETA training and implementation of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) to mitigate security risks and implement facility security policies and procedures.
- S&FM is responsible for the physical security of the building to include supervising Access Control procedures. Duties include maintaining the building alarm systems and issuing building access swipe cards. S&FM conducts security indoctrinations and debriefings.
- S&FM drafts the building’s Operational Security (OPSEC) Plan, Emergency Action Plan (EAP), Emergency Evacuation Plan (EEP), and Communication Security (COMSEC) Plan.
- S&FM secures/maintains the building’s COMSEC material, as well as maintains classified material records and prepares for USG audits.
- S&FM is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the USG building. Duties include coordinating custodial/maintenance/repair efforts with Public Works (PW), as well as commercial vendors for the building’s electrical, water, plumbing, cooling, heating, security alarms, and communication (internet and land-line phone) systems.
- Occupancy management entails assigning/managing cubicle and office space. S&FM is responsible for the building’s Audio Visual (AV) equipment ensuring systems are operational prior to classified meetings.
- S&FM performs facilities self-inspections ensuring compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) codes and regulations.
Required Clearance: Current Secret with ability to obtain TS/SCI eligibility.
Required Qualifications: Ten-years of Security Manager experience with a BS degree. Knowledge of physical security, information security, DD254, COMSEC, SETA, Visit Certification processes, PW procedures, NISPOM, OSHA, and other federal/state regulations. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, & PowerPoint).
Desired Qualifications : Master’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or Industrial Management.
Candidate must reside within twenty-five (25) miles of NAS Patuxent River, MD in order to respond to emergent needs as required. This position is 100% on-site.
