Under the direction of the Network Systems Director, the Sr. Cisco Network /VOIP Engineer is responsible for supporting the firm’s global LAN/WAN, VOIP, and Wireless infrastructure. Accessible to perform after hours support duties on a rotating 24x7 basis to sustain networking systems and end user support.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Minimum of eight to ten years of experience Supporting a critical core Cisco Wireless, LAN/WAN global infrastructure spanning several geographical locations and data centers. CCNP, CCDP, Voice, CCIP required. Experience in enterprise application platforms (VMware Networking, Palo alto, Brocade, Azure Cloud network/infrastructure technologies, and Microsoft /Zoom Telephony solution) extremely desirable/preferred.
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, problem solving skills required with the ability to make recommendations based on findings and best practices.
A proven professional with excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, and time management skills. Strong team player.
Proven experience in the following required:

WORK REQUIREMENTS:

We are looking for a Network Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure Team. This individual will report into our Manager of IT Infrastructure and is responsible for assisting with the design, implementation, and maintenance of network related solutions throughout the company. This remote position is open to individuals who live in, or are open to relocating to, the following states: Arizona, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Washington.
This position requires travel up to 10% of the year to our headquarters in Melville, NY and our Fulfillment Center locations for internal meetings and in-person projects. We reimburse reasonable and necessary travel expenses, and you’re also welcome to work on-site anytime beyond these visits – our doors are always open.
Role Type: Full-Time, Exempt
Location: Remote
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with time zone flexibility. Additional off-hours support may be needed for scheduled maintenance or a related issue.
Base Salary: $85,000 – $105,000 per year
Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and maintain cost-effective, resilient WAN, LAN, WLAN, and Voice/Video solutions.
- Analyze, configure, and install corporate network infrastructure, including multi-server environments (IP schemes, DNS, WINS, DHCP, VLAN, QoS, diagrams).
- Troubleshoot network and IT systems, restoring services quickly.
- Ensure network security through policy enforcement, access monitoring, firewalls, VPN/ZTN, and security appliances.
- Manage routers, switches, SD-WAN, network monitoring tools, and PCI compliance practices.
- Maintain network inventory, documentation, diagrams, and Help Desk procedures.
- Perform capacity planning, traffic flow analysis, and recommend upgrades or policy changes.
- Work with third-party vendors and maintain racks, cabling (fiber/copper), and UPS systems.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting corporate networks.
- Experience with routing, switching, and wireless (Cisco/HPE-Aruba preferred).
- Strong understanding of LAN, WAN, Wireless LAN, SD-WAN, VPN/ZTN, TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, DHCP, SNMP, TLS, and routing protocols.
- Background in IT security, enterprise firewalls, and network monitoring tools.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, RADIUS, TACACS, and Voice/VoIP.
- Proven problem-solving skills, ability to multitask in fast-paced settings, and excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications: Cisco, Fortinet, HPE-Aruba, Microsoft, or similar.
- Experience with e-commerce, cloud networking (GCP), and MS 365.
- Familiarity with Slack, Teams, antivirus/EDR solutions, and Ethernet/Fiber cabling.
