Job Summary:
Work with the Wireless Connectivity Solutions team to design, implement, and maintain Cisco wireless networks and support equipment installation projects in various areas of the country. The incumbent will be involved in research and development projects in the wireless connectivity solutions area.
Responsibilities:
- Design, upgrade, and maintain wireless Cisco networks
- Continual Service Improvement - Brainstorm and implement future system improvements

Summary
Knight Federal Solutions is supporting The Navy Integrated Training Environment (NITE) Network Administrator is responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting network connectivity and infrastructure on the Navy Enterprise Tactical Training Network (NETTN).
The candidate will support the operation and maintenance of multiple networks across different classification levels and ensure continuous network connectivity is maintained to customers and sites.
This position will be in the Network Operations and Security Center (NOSC). The NOSC functions as the helpdesk for network operations support and provides troubleshooting of network connectivity including WAN circuits, equipment failures, router and switch configurations, firewall access control lists, VoIP device registrations and configuration, cryptographic device configurations and keying material. Requirements:• Experience in installing and troubleshooting WAN and LAN network equipment and circuits.

Required Skills & Experience
- 4+ years of experience in a Network Engineer related role
- Experience configuring and deploying Cisco switches (ex: Cisco 2960 to 9200, Cisco 3850 to 9500)
- Deep knowledge of Network Engineering specifically with companies like Humana, Yum! Brands, Kindred Healthcare, Brown-Forman, UPS, Papa John’s, GE Appliances, or service provider like Spectrum, AT&T, T-Mobile, Starlink, Windstream, etc.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with the ability to switch priorities as needed
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Experience with network fundamentals or carrier fundamentals
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification or related certifications
- Basic light measurement experience (i.e., identifying threshold of light failure)
- Experience routing in datacenter environment
- Racing or gaming experience
Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Network Engineer to work onsite to assist with multiple projects including construction projects and an end-of-life equipment project. Due to the numerous projects, priorities shift, and this individual will need to be comfortable pivoting from priority to priority. The Network Engineer will assist with configuring and deploying Cisco switches, replacing end of life equipment from Cisco 2960 to 9200 and some from Cisco 3850 to 9500, identifying various cabling types (ex: OM1, OM3, and OS2), identifying where the threshold of light failure is to understand if there is a light failure or system configuration failure, and getting switches into a stacked configuration where they may not have been before. The individual will have someone supervise their work, but the ideal candidate can hit the ground running with minimal supervision. Pay expectations are between $50-57/hr. This is a contract to hire role with an ever-evolving company in the Louisville, KY area.
