OVERVIEW OF ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a full-time Performing Arts who can continue to help build Matchs middle school Arts program. The position entails planning and delivering a curriculum for middle school students who will have Performing Arts classes during the regular school day. The position is located at Match Middle School on 215 Forest Hills St. in Jamaica Plain, MA. 

The compensation for Match teaching positions ranges from $61,812-$98,899 and is based on a candidates prior years of  teaching experience.  Match offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes 90% coverage of health insurance costs and student loan repayment assistance. 

We would like the Performing Arts teacher  to offer a mix of classes in vocal music, instrumental music, dance, improv theater, and musical theater. There is a budget available for equipment and supplies. We have a dedicated Performing Arts classroom space.

Manhattan Youth is looking for several part-time After-school Teachers/Activities Specialists to join our dedicated team for the 2025-2026 school year.  We are seeking dynamic and energetic individuals to lead our performing arts activities for our singing, musical instrument, music production, comedy/improv, dance, and theater clubs. 

After-school teachers are expected to guide students in their social, emotional, and academic development across a range of areas including sports, arts, academic enrichment, and leadership.  We are looking for creative, energetic, curious, and enthusiastic teachers with a commitment to positive behavioral approaches and teamwork.  

Qualified applicants are proactive, caring and results-oriented teachers devoted to evidence-based practices that promote student achievement and well-being. The ability to maintain a positive, caring, and fun attitude; to learn and grow from mistakes; and to set an example as a continuous, open-minded learner is critical.  After-school teachers will exhibit creativity, innovation and passion in teaching and are expected to help create an environment that encourages in children creative thinking, verbal communication, independent exploration, self-confidence, self-awareness, and a problem-solving approach to conflict.  

We are looking to fill multiple roles in order to return our after-school programs to in-person learning.  These are part-time, hourly positions available during the school year from September through June, following  the NYC DOE schedule.  After-school programs operate Monday – Friday from 2:30 - 6:00pm and clubs are 1.25 to 2.5 hours long.  Individual schedules will vary by school.  Opportunities exist to teach multiple clubs at different schools.

Pay:   $44/hour


Primary Responsibilities
  • Work with Education Directors to design program curriculum;
  • Create lesson plans and curriculum based on Manhattan Youth’s class descriptions and goals;
  • Structure classroom instruction to promote student-centered, project-based learning;
  • Plan, organize and prepare activities and materials for daily schedule and lead children in classroom activities;
  • Promote and model Manhattan Youth’s core values and behaviors for staff and students;
  • Collaborate with other staff to create a positive community and showcase of student work;
  • Actively update Program Director regarding classroom progress and challenges;
  • Participate in MY staff meetings, development sessions and comply with training requirements;
  • Ensure safety of groups of children during classroom activities, recreation and field trips, and address emergency situations;
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • 2+ years teaching experience with middle or elementary school children, after-school setting preferred;
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred;
  • Demonstrative knowledge of and passion for content area, professional experience a plus;
  • Experience with educational technology instruction and practice; 
  • Ability to build and maintain positive and respectful relationships with families, students and coworkers of diverse backgrounds and identities;

THE OPPORTUNITY
RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

The VP of Business Development, Dance & Performing Arts (VPBD) is a newly created role at Robbins. The organization seeks an individual who will lead its efforts in establishing a product management and go-to-market strategy for dance and performing arts venues, studios, schools, and other spaces. Reporting to Robbins’ CEO Todd Braun, the VPBD will collaborate with a deeply experienced team, including research & development, sales, marketing, and product. The Robbins team anticipates revenue growth of $5M+ over a three-year horizon.

Primary responsibilities of the position are these:

Product Portfolio: learn the Robbins product lines and identify floors that are optimal for the unique needs of the dance industry.

Branding & Messaging: establish a brand strategy and messaging that resonates with dance and performing arts organizations.

Partnerships: serve as Robbins’ ambassador into the dance world, including trade shows, events, and conferences, while building key relationships with dealers, architects, theater consultants, researchers, and other relevant stakeholders.

Market Segmentation: identify target markets and develop strategies to reach those markets.

COMPENSATION AND START DATE
The salary range for this position begins at $125,000, plus annual performance-based bonus. This role is eligible for an equity grant commensurate with an executive level role at the company and governed by the company’s Equity Participation Plan. Benefits will include the following:
