Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for demonstrating commitment to and leadership of environmental health and safety principles, policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Participate in company’s Long-Term and Mid-Term Strategy Deployment process.
  • Facilitate and support Annual Hoshin Planning processes at site and functional level.

Job Description: Six Sigma Black Belt/ Corporate Warranty Engineer

Key Responsibilities, Including, but not limited to:

  • Project Leadership: Oversee Six Sigma projects from initiation to completion, driving warranty reduction, quality enhancement, and process optimization within automotive manufacturing and facilities support settings.
  • Data Analysis & Regression Modeling: Perform large-scale data analysis using statistical tools to uncover warranty trends and determine root causes. Build and execute regression models to forecast warranty outcomes after implementing Permanent Corrective Actions (PCAs), ensuring data-driven insights inform strategic decision-making.
  • Structured Problem Solving: Apply Six Sigma and other structured methodologies to pinpoint root causes of issues across products, processes, and systems. Work closely with process owners to design and implement risk-appropriate solutions, effectively minimizing or resolving problems while ensuring long-term sustainability.
  • Process Improvement: Partner with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to map existing processes, pinpoint improvement opportunities, and deploy robust solutions rooted in Six Sigma principles. Drive key deliverables, including reducing high incident rates by supporting the development of test methods such as Design of Experiments (DOE) establishing criteria, and leading structured problem-resolution efforts.
  • Training & Mentorship: Collaborate with the corporate quality team to train and mentor Green Belts and team members in Six Sigma methodologies, data analysis techniques, and best practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization. Deliver hands-on support to manufacturing sites, emphasizing guidance for plant warranty engineers and facilities team members.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various departments, including Engineering, Quality Assurance, Customer Service, Purchasing and Supplier Development (including Tier II/III suppliers in support of implementing and or improvement of warranty programs), to ensure alignment and effective implementation of warranty improvement strategies.
  • Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) tied to warranty claims and product quality. Generate reports and presentations for management, outlining project progress, results, and recommendations derived from predictive analytics.
  • Customer Focus: Engage with customers to identify and address warranty-related concerns, ensuring customer feedback is effectively incorporated into product development and process improvement initiatives. Participate in recurring and special events focused on enhancing warranty performance and driving continuous improvement. Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in customer warranty processes, including Customer Specific Requirements (CSRs), B2B portal navigation, and the extraction and analysis of warranty data for internal reporting and insights.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all warranty processes adhere to industry regulations and company policies, upholding the highest standards of quality and safety. Maintain compliance with standards such as CQI-14 and Customer Specific Requirements (CSRs), ensuring consistent alignment with regulatory and organizational expectations.

Required Skills

  • Experience: A minimum of five (5) years of industry experience in quality management, process improvement, or warranty analysis within the automotive sector is preferred, with an emphasis on large-scale data analytics and structured problem-solving. Recent college or university graduates with technical degrees and less than five (5) years of industry experience will also be considered.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab), data analytics, and regression modeling techniques (e.g., Python) is required, along with expertise in project management tools and the Microsoft Business Office Suite, including Excel, Power Apps, and Power BI (or equivalent platforms). RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Provide Business and Logistics Management Support Services (BLM/SS) Innovative Solutions on behalf of The US Coast Guard (USCG) Chief Information Officer, Assistant Commandant For C5I (CG-6), Command, Control, Communications, Computer, Cyber, And Intelligence Service Center (C5ISC), And Coast Guard Cyber Security Command. The primary mission is to unify the Coast Guard’s command, control, communications, computer, cyber and intelligence support structure and business practices to Deliver Technology Solutions for Mission Success. The CIO, CG-6, C5ISC, and CGCC continue with a technology revolution of end-of-life enterprise systems and are in incessant need for support services to assist the United States Coast Guard (USCG) business and logistics functions during this rapid advancement in technology environments. CG-6’s mission is to enhance the value of C5ISC in performance of USCG missions by developing and aligning enterprise strategies, policies, and resource decisions with USCG strategic goals, mandates, and customer requirements.

Desired Qualifications For Business And Logistics Management |Lean Six Sigma Consultant (USCG3 )

Any Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt required by a BPA Call shall be listed as Key Personnel. The Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Master Black Belt (MBB) shall assist and mentor Government LSS Black Belt and Green Belt Candidates in completing LSS improvement projects. The LSS MBB shall certify completion of candidate improvement projects when appropriate. These services shall support the missions and requirements of the organizational component at the Call Order level in implementing procedures for process development, monitoring, and improvement at multiple locations consistent with LSS best practices. The LSS MBB shall, at the Government’s direction, develop and provide training for Government- appointed personnel in LSS / Continual Process Improvement (CPI) fundamentals (e.g., “Yellow Belt”) or applied LSS / CPI facilitation training consistent with the American Society for Quality’s (ASQ) defined Body of Knowledge for Certified LSS Green Belts and/or Black Belts.

Job Title: Business Process Consultant

Location: Palo Alto, CA

Purpose and Objective:

Ariba, Inc. seeks a Business Process Consultant at our Palo Alto, CA location to Interact with both buyer and supplier customers providing education and training on the value of the SAP Business Network, new technology and enhancements to technology .

Expectations and Tasks:

Serves as an SAP Business Network knowledge expert and communicates SCC opportunities to bring business-impacting value to customers. Facilitates reporting to customers (internal/external) regarding progress on project initiatives. Appropriately identifies issues, potential risks and opportunities while working with a high degree of autonomy to address, escalate or handover within and across teams as appropriate . Accountable for executing against the project timeline while meeting customer goals and objectives . Holds ultimate responsibility for customer satisfaction on assigned projects. Understands and complies with work instructions, process documents and technology tools and ensures internal systems and tools are current. Actively identifies , contributes to and facilitates continuous improvement and best practice efforts, both internally and externally. Builds and maintains relationships with other parts of the

organization where partnerships can be beneficial in improving customer relationship , assisting with technology enhancements and overall improvement of delivery services. Understands how to create, plan, and execute meetings (internal/external) which drive results. Understands and tracks customer performance against the internal metrics that are outlined by SAP leadership; takes appropriate actions where needed to meet company MBO’s.

Education and Occupational Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Operations Management, or a related field of study and five (5) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively , a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Operations Management, or a related field of study and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.

Qualifications/Skills and Competencies Experience:

Experience must involve two (2) years in the following:

  • Map business processes to solution requirements;

  • Write SQL queries to retrieve customer data;

  • Develop project plans; and

  • Analyze complex customer master data requirements .

Experience must also involve one (1) year in the following:

  • Work with Global cross functional teams;

  • Resolve customer escalations/issues; and

  • Transform customer’s manual business processes via automation .

Compensation Range Transparency: The annual base salary range for this position is $ 112,621 - $165,150 . SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $ 12,621 - 1 83,500 . The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
